Peace Out 2015 & Cheers to 2016

So I wasn't planning to track the insiders today but after I did track them, I really started to feel behind & somewhat regret not following them for the past several trading sessions. Regardless, tonight's list is rather light & was easy for me to create even though I did teach skiing today. Since I'm under the wire to publish before the East Coast rings in the New Year, I figured it's now or never for my last post of 2015. Here were the insiders that I tracked from Thursday, December 31, 2015:

Form 3's: TMP, RWLK (14), PPC, SGRY, YOD & RBA (16)

13D's: YOD, FSFR, FSC, VRX, OPOF, NKE, WBA (2), SSP, ARBJ, MXWL, ELTP, APPF, VISN & EGY

13G's: CVA, QLTI, PTX & GLMP

Form 4's (Insider Buys): MUX. AME (10), OPK, SONA, SYRG (2), FRAF (5), AMPG, AT (5), AFSI, XCO, RSCF (3), CLMS, JRO, GPCM, CODI, FKYS, SPDL (6), GBL, RAVN, LPAD (2), HRT, HCI, CLIR (4), ANGI, EUSP, TMK, INCY (4), RVLT, CUNB, WPT, UTI, HNRG, GSBD, CCD, JSD, GPCM, MPAY, TAGS, IGXT, MRLN & FFFC

Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): SGB (3), AME, AOI (9), TW (7), SCI (4), AKER (4), GEVO (8), EAC, SPKE, PAA, ROCK, HBMD, BCOV (5), ISCO (3), TRMR, CCMP, HNRG, VAC, APO (4), ARI (7), HLT (4), WBA, NTRA, WCG & GOOG

Form 4's (Insider Sales): ORMP, INCR, LXP, AMWD, CSCD, FLO (4), SYRG (3), EPZM, COB (5), USPH, ICFI, UTHR, UCFC, DRE, GOOG, OLBK, NSL, GEVO (8), NTK, HSKA, LDL, CMN, TUBE, LOAN, OXY, ROCK, GBL, HMPR, SMSI (2), STON, SEDG, ANSS, RNR, MBI, SHAK, MPV, O, CBYL, ANAD (4), ORLY, TWI, MTSI (2), SCSC, OPHT, HRB, WBA, NLSN, CRM, NTRA (2), GNCMA, SWKS, DIL.NZ, W (2) & PATK (2)

Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): RJF, GRMN, DVD, CINF (4), HDSN, INNV, BKE, LPAD, CCMP, HNRG, CPIX, OZRK (2), AIV, WMT (4) & STML (2)

Since I have skipped so many days, I feel like my notes be a little lacking as I haven't been following repeat buyers & sellers & other things I like to track. Therefore, I'm going to keep this wrap up fairly simple.

The only notes that I really took on the 13D/G's & Form 3's go as follows. I saw that RWLK & RBA both had several new insiders leading me to believe they are either IPO's or there has been a changing of the guard (please bear in mind that I have not yet done any due diligence on these companies yet). I also observed that YOD made both the 13D increase list & had a new insider file a Form 3. Then, I also noted that WBA had two hedge funds or insiders increase their positions which is interesting as it was also on the sell list (in my opinion, as a diversion). Finally, I noted that one of the hedges increased their position in VRX.

On the buying side, I only noted that ANGI was the largest monetary value purchase that I saw with just over $2 million worth of shares picked up via an institutional buyer. I also noted that the CFO's who were buying into their companies work for: RSCF, IGXT, RVLT & AME. The CFO's whom acquired shares for free today work for: APO, ARI, CCMP, BCOV & GEVO.

On the selling side, I only noted that Brin Sergey (co-founder of Google who has been selling for awhile) has sold over $26 million more of his shares off. He was able to acquire a healthy handful for free to replace some of them, though. That was today's monetary largest sale. Other than that, I noted that the CFO's selling some of their shares today work for: HSKA, W, HRB, SMSI, GEVO, COB & LXP. GEVO was another company where the CFO seller (& the other inside sellers of GEVO) disposed of shares for money & in turn, acquired shares for free (just in case you hadn't noticed).

With that brief amount of information, I trust that everyone will be able to do their own due diligence to determine if some of these companies may be of interest.

Personally, 2015 was a doozy for me where I kind of got destroyed beginning with the Grexit & continuing throughout August. Since that, I have definitely fought back for a lot of losses & tracking the insiders has been one of the key elements for my gains. Also, I definitely would like to thank several of my friend's in the trading world that helped me get my head back on my shoulders after my account took some beatings (you know who you are & I am ever so grateful). It's amazing what some kind words & some helpful mentoring can do. I truly think this is one of those passions that we can always learn more as we go which is similar to my other passion skiing which they say is fairly easy to learn but takes a lifetime to master. I hope that we all learn & master more in 2016.

On that note, I wish you all a very healthy, wealthy & wise 2016!

Short but Sweet

I have taken some time off to spend the holidays with my family & friends but now that the Christmas hustle is over, I am able to study a little bit since I have taken this weekend off my fun skiing job. My postings may be light next week again as I will be doing a much more physically demanding work & will likely choose sleep over homework but while I have the free time now, I figured I would get you caught up to what insider transactions took place on Christmas Eve. Here they are:

Form 3's: OZM, NATR, H (2), FAV, NHS, NBO, NRO, NBW, BLCM, GRUB & AMRI

13D's: UNT, LSCG, BLCM, TLCC, IESRQ, GTE, RLYP, FSFR & REXI

13G's: PRO, SIMH, MWA, TTPH & HYF

Form 4's (Insider Buys): GIGM, SUNE (2), DYSL, OPK, AFSI, PULB, FMNB (4), MAR, UTG, XCO, NYMX, ATU (3), EMYB, GBCS, AXSM, NNUTU, LPG (2), PSEC (2), JTPY (3), QBAK, LXRP, AWH, UBPS, FFFC, APGO, EXCO, WFR, EXG & IGXT

Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): BGCP, EMYB (3), TUBE (3) & GOOG

Form 4's (Insider Sales): PATK, SEDG, ACOR, SSP, DAL, HIL, CHTR, SHEN, ARG, ILMN, CTG, DPDW, OFG, OXY, OLBK, ACE, CSCD, STMP (2), ORCL, SLG, GOOG, CNTY, RARE, SWHC (2), ADS, DAVE, FAF, DXPE, NLN, MCI, TLCC, AMIB, VR & DRE

Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): KND, GSM (5), BGCF, SCHW, DVA, PEI, ZION, TUBE (3), BDSI, JTV.TO, APGO & GRUB

This list is extremely short so I feel like I need to be extra wordy with what I share with you this evening though I don't have much. My favorite that stood out to me was BLCM which had crossed three of my lists. This one was purchased by Julian Baker whom I always love to follow. The chart is already reflecting the upwards movement of the company. It may be worth my time on Monday if I can get in with the right bid.

Also, on the buy side I had noted that PSEC had the largest monetary purchase via insider with almost $7.5 million worth of shares purchased. I noted that FMNB had the most buyers with four & has been a repeater on my list for a couple of weeks now. Finally, the only two companies who CFO's were buying work for IGXT & ATU.

On the sale side I had GOOG with the largest monetary sale via insider who sold over $25.5 million worth of shares. It was Larry Page again doing the selling & free acquiring of shares. I only had one CFO selling on Christmas Eve whom works for DAL. When I searched my findings for the Chief Financial position though, I discovered that many financial institutions were on the sell end of things. I found this interesting as I had thought that the bankers would retain their bank shares into the actual rate hike. I guess I was mistaken for these companies, at least. This will be something that I will be paying more attention to. Since this list was so short, it was very noticeable this time around.

Well, that is really all I have for you right now. I hope that everyone is able to enjoy the rest of their weekend & get back to the swing of things Monday morning where hopefully, we all find green in our portfolios.

Another Day in the Life - Merry Christmas

I apologize for my absence lately but I've been working out my trades based on stop losses because I've been doing my passion job of teaching skiing. I'm off for the next 4 days but them back on until 2016 so likely will be stagnant until January. I hope you are all surviving the holiday season & the quasi-Santa Rally.

Either way, here's what I've done: skied amazing powder, felt super accomplished improving people's skiing while they have a stellar time, successfully sold out of GLBL on a stop loss at $5.65, baked cookies, cleaned my house, prepped for a Christmas dinner party, sold most of my CBAY between $1.75-1.85, bought SQBG & have already gained over $1/share, getting excited for my ski down torchlight parade tomorrow night (Christmas Eve) with flares, get excited for houseguests, wrapping presents, dealing with watering the tree, etc, etc, etc. Enough about me, here is the the insider trading I gathered after the markets closed today:

Form 3's: AIG (2), HSII, FNB (2), UTG, BKYI, GLV, GLQ, GLO, STI, EGY, AQXP, ENIC, FITB, MPG, GRUB, GLUU & AMRS

13D's: SCRI, SCON, TK, NEO, PBY (2), IRC, ITCC, STKL, NATL, KHI, BOBE, SALT, CNX, EDGE, BONA, MCOX (2), XCO, SWWI, WLFC, NCAP, SYUT & ALJ

13G's: GNMK, SCRI, SUNE, CAFD, TCO, FSL, CWEI, JAGX & GNMK

Form 4's (Insider Buys): SNGX (2), OPK, AME, UEX, MNK, ENBL, MKTY, BVX (3), XCO, MLHR, RIT (2), MNR (2), VSEC (2), SLCT, SPKE, TIPT, NC (3), RELV, UTG (3), LPAD, OKS (2), PRSS, TWER, FREVS, BIOL, BEN, OPOF (2), DIS (3), EVBS, APU, AMID (2), UTGN, TLN, TKOI, QCRH, CPRX, PAGP, HCI, FSNN, RHP, PRKR, SUP, FMI, SHLD, HCAP (2), CLMS (2), TPHS, NEO, ESES, GVC, NSEC, PSEC (2), FELP, CNBKA (2), ASNA, XRM, WPT, SCRI (3), WAIR, JCAP, GTXI, UACL, SCOR (2), DLTH, DCOM (2), BBEP, EVA (3), MUX, CLUB, BOFI, EML, CEQP, LE, SHOS, CPTA, GBT, MOH, BAGR, FFFC, GULTU, CWGL, APU, XRM, ERHE & FSIC

Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): DSCI, BDX, HPY (7), FDEF, SWM, GOOG (2), PRKA, MENT, BIF (2), BKFS, DIHC (7), EGY (2), FOSL, FOGO (2), VEEV (3), SLG, CIFC, IBM (3), DOOR, HTWR (5), AMRS, NEOG, SIVB (7), W (6), BGCP (4) & NPTN

Form 4's (Insider Sales): DSCI (4), XBIT (2), ACOR, SAM (2), SFST, HPY (7), CSCD, DAL, USCR, WY, CRK (2), SLCT, ZAYO, CCL, CUK, KR, RTN, GOOG (2), MSEC, NR (4), LEG, AMSWA, KBR, BIF, RLOG, SFNC (2), PNRA, SHAK (3), MENT, LTC, CIEN (8). VRNS, SHEN, NOW, HAL, GIMO, IRMD, MCBC (5), BV (2), NXTM, RHT, VEEV (3), FXCM (3), HBI, PANW (5), FNRN, EQR (2), CBOE, SLG, SHLD, GRUB, MTSI (2), AET, HCAP, AIZ, PYDS, SABR (2), EGRX, SIX (2), IBM (3), XRM, SFS, PHMD, HA, ACM, RLYP, SMTX, DISH, CVT, HTWR (4), EXA, ALKS, TMK, PMCS, TPLM, CRM, ROKR, TRUP, PSDV (2), AMBA, FB, SP, MTRX, SIVG (7), LNG, CRIS, DHX (2), CNC (2), SWKS, FGEN, ALOG, W (3), AMWD, DLB (2), BGCP (4), DRI (2), NPTN, PAHC, CUDA , SNGX (2), PENC, IGXT, DIS & NEWR

Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): OPK, HF, CPLA, AIMC, PDCO, TSO, FCEA, MORN, SRCL, VLO, IDT, TIF, FXCM, SAFM, AFSI, NBL, NEOG, KNX, CNC (2), CUB, CTIC (2), AMWD, CLGX & BGCP (4)

So, I'm a bit out of the loop as I haven't tracked in a hot minute. Either way, let's pay attention to the repeats still. Also, the one's that cross multiple categories along with the one's headed into or out of earnings & the one's with large catalysts.  A clear one that sticks out instantly for me is SCRI hitting 3 nice areas (I need to chart tonight but haven't yet) along with PBP which Mr. Icahn increased his stake into.

As for the insider buyer list, nothing really stood out to me monetarily but seeing tickers like CNBKA, CWGL, CLMS, SHLD, TIPT & others on my list definitely make me want to look at their technicals. Some of these have been on my insider buy list for weeks or months. I also want to look into DIS based on it's current pricing & the insider activity. The only CFO's I saw buying today work for: IGXT, FFFC & CPTA.

On the selling side of the Form 4's, I could note that GOOG was the highest monetarily, as expected. The CFO seller list includes the following companies: SFST, ZAYO, HPY, CIEN, FXCM, PANW, LTC, TLN, TKOI, AIZ, IBM, DXCM, BBEP, NSEC, SFS, NEWR, PSDV, W & SABR. Also, the DIS CFO exercised options today. I need to catch back up before I share anymore of my notes than this, though.

Since tomorrow is a short day & most likely a very light insider day, I'll try to give my readers the most thorough list that I can as I do have tomorrow off asides the torchlight ski down. I hope everyone is able to find only profit in these markets. Take care & happy holidays!

The Big Decline & Now it's the Weekend

Today was a very red Friday which possibly indicated an early end to our Santa Rally. My expectations for volatility & gold that I had expected to see on Wednesday decided to happen today instead. All of the stocks that the QQQ follows took big hits today along with DIS on the official Star Wars release. Sure we often come to expect a Friday sell off but today was ridiculous. Luckily, the two investments I was actually in both fared well. My biotech ran green for parts of the day ending it .01 below where it started & my solar ran up 13% in the regular session plus another 2.5% in after hours. Weekends become really hard on those of us yearning for Monday's market to open so that we can make the next move but they give us a chance to breathe & potentially study, as well.

Now I must warn you that since we are in the busy season at my resort, I may not be fulfilling my daily blog for the next week or so. I apologize for the inconvenience there but teaching skiing & spending time with my family will be taking precedence. Hopefully, I can post at least a few times for everyone. For now, I wanted to at least warn everyone before I seemingly disappear. Anyhow, here were the insiders I spotted on Friday, December 18:

What a week! From the Santa rally, to the interest rate hike, to the solar tax cut, to the arrest of Martin Shkreli & the new Star Wars release, we had a wild ride this week. On top of all of this, I was expected to attend multiple Christmas parties & try to keep my brain & liver healthy. All that I can say is wow!

So let me quickly give some of my notes so that I can relax for the night. I noted that BIOL made multiple lists & may be one to watch based on the investor who was buying in today (Jack Schuler). I also have that SHLD crossed over many lists today, as well. Last time it did that, I got in & made a decent swing trade off it. I will need to do more homework before I jump in again but I do like its recent filings. Also, NAV stood out to me because Carl Icahn raised his stake in the company. Finally, the most obvious one that we saw cross over many lists was KBIO. I know that I failed to post yesterday because I had a lot going on but there were KBIO insider buys yesterday as well. I almost feel bad for these major investors & institutions who spent nearly $30/share not knowing that Martin Shkreli was going to be arrested which initiated the sell off yesterday. These KBIO forms were filled out prior to the arrest.

As for the Form 4 buys, please pay attention to the ones that are repeated quite often & the one's that have news coming. I only had notes that the CFO's I saw filing work for: AINV, CBIO, EXA, OHAI & BSGM. The largest buy today via Form 4 was for RWC for just over $5.5 million worth of shares purchased.

The largest monetary Form 4 daily sale that I saw pass through was for EQY disposing $373,710,000 worth of shares via three sellers. Then, the CFO's that I saw filing sales work for: AVGO, CSV, CNSL, BCRX, CLC, GWRE, VSAT, PLAY & AMBA. I don't typically report the option sales in this unless they sell all of them but I will mention that an insider actually exercised options & sold many shares of DIS today.

That is all that I have for now. Only time will tell if I do any blogging between now & New Year's. That being said be cautious & smart with the current market conditions. If you don't know what to do, sit the bench until the turbulence settles. I wish you all a Happy Holiday season.

Finding the Next Big Trade

Now that the FED's decision is behind us, there is a bit less fear during our Santa Rally. I guessed wrong & picked DUST but got out as soon as I could. I took a small loss but whatever. DUST will run again soon but I was too anxious. I'm also still holding my little biotech & my solar which both acquired gains today. Regardless, I'm going to be slow this week to trade. I have a lot going on into the New Year so I may even start flailing more with my daily blog. I'm sorry to disappoint because we are all looking for the next big trade. Hopefully, we find it. Okay, late nighters....it's getting late & I have a lot to do but here is my quick version. You may be too late on some of these but keep your eyes on them. The insider's know what is up.

Today's largest Form 4 buy went to QSR that touched almost each list. $596,441,940 worth of QSR shares were purchased via From 4 today but that is equivalent to the amount sold via Form 4. The second highest buy today went to CEQP with just of $12 million worth of shares purchased. As I typically like to "follow the money", the CFO's that were buying today work for:  CBK, PDLI, AGX, BSGM, ARES, KFS, FENX, PSEC, RSO, OHAI, OFG & CMFN.

The largest sale I saw today was HUGE selling a whopping $4,000,000,000,000,000 worth of NTG shares. That's way too much. Oddly, QSR took second with the figure I just mentioned above. The CFO's whom sold today work for: ZEN, NOW, RKDA, FCFS, DY, CENT, GEVO, LC, ACAS, USPH, ESS, PSA, TYL, PLAY, RKUS & CATM.

Following the insiders can lead us to the next big trade if we study. I'm sorry I don't have more for you but it's a busy time of year for me. I hope that something in here is helpful to someone who reads this.

Awaiting the FED & the Market Reaction

I was supposed to go to two holiday parties tonight but my fate changed last minute & I was able to catch some of the debate while giving my liver a rest. I felt brutal today. Either way, like everyone else is, I am anxiously awaiting the FED decision & how they present it tomorrow. I know that many of you are on the sidelines awaiting the market reaction before getting back in. I also realize that many of you are invested across the boards hence the rallies that have occurred the past two days. Personally, I chose a couple of risky plays but I don't want to disclose them...after tonight's energy announcement, I am feeling like I will need to make some moves early.  I wish you all the best however the market does react. That being said, here is tonight's list & what I saw today:

Here are my observations from the day. Wendy's was crossing several areas (WEN). It looks like they may have a few new people but nothing to watch just yet. There were a ton of repeats on the lists, as usual. That is definitely something to pay attention to. For example, Aircastle (AYR) has been on here everyday for what seems forever & look where they're chart went today. That company has a cool concept & I decided to check it out when I saw the "rent a jet" commercial on Bloomberg today.  Also, Sirius XM (SIRI) stood out to me with the Howard Stern news so I checked that chart & it has definite promise. What else...oh yeah..I apologize for yesterday's report. I was totally not up to par. I also failed to note yesterday that Carl Icahn pulled back out of Xerox (XRX).

The largest buy today was for Restaurant Brands Intl (QSR) with two big buyers who bought nearly $200 million worth of shares.  The largest sale I saw today was for Cyrusone, Inc (CONE) for just under $50 million worth of shares sold. The insider CFO's buying today work for: FXCM, ECC, TCRD, HCAP, LAND, CVA, GTIM & PLX. The insider CFO's selling work for: ITCI, AIZ, SPAN, CLNT, ATRO, SEDG & EKFC.

Interestingly enough, the buying side definitely challenged the selling side today. The Santa Claus rally is here & the entire world seems okay with the likelihood of a rate hike in the USA (the 1st in a decade). Tomorrow will be a day to keep your eyes on banks, volatility, gold, oil, energy, etc. There is still uncertainty looming to how the markets will react & based on how the FED's decision is presented, things we may feel are sure shots may get skewed. Whatever you chose to do, be careful.

Okay, no insightfulness this morning as I'm just trying to pump this out before markets officially open in the State. I can note that Carl Icahn dropped over 5% of XRX & Martha Stewart has been selling off her own company recently (MSO) along with SQBG selling it's shares in her company. Martha has been getting into SQBG, though. Enough said...have a great day out there! I need to set up my trades before I ski.

The Ides of December

Happy weekend, friends! Whether you are celebrating Hanukkah or just starting to get you Christmas grove on on whatever, I hope that you are able to step away from the monstracity we are facing in the markets & just let it go, let it snow, do some blow. Just kidding but I hear that's what the Wall Street guys are into. Either way, I personally took a step back (as anyone who follows this does now) but I started my volatility game with TVIX on Thursday & SQQQ on Friday. I still hold a biotech that I do believe in, along with TERP's red-headed step cousin GLBL. We shall see if/when I get out of that. The funny thing is that the tendencies are doing the same as TERP did to me in the beginning & eventually what chased me out. This time, though the timing is awful, I will hold a bit longer. That being said, here were the insiders that I caught on Friday:

Form 3's: KTOS, AHL, TPHS, VRNG, RSTI, VYST, KR, NJR (2), MW, STCK (2), EMKR, XPO, USB (2), ANCB, OGE, AAVL, NCR (4), AWH, AMTY, ABG, BYLK (2), ABBV, NHLD, UTI & RUBI

So...as for insider action today...we see a lot of repeaters; we see a lot of more low profile tickers, we see a lot less of sales versus buys. What we see is just the Ides of December. A lot of people likely to move tor lose cash this time of year for multiple reasoning. That being said, I somewhat followed suit. It's bizarre how the charts actually can nail the date of the S&P decline again. Charts don't seem to lie. I was able to move my money into what is safe now & on the sidelines. That being said, it's late & we all probably need to study over the course of the weekend. I'm just going put the main rundown out there.

Beginning with insider buyers & AYR having another buy. The company is similar to Uber but for jets. This might be worth looking into during more stable times. There are many other repeaters, too. If you are tracking the insiders, pay attention to their earnings reports & things like patents, FDA approvals, etc. A few tickers crossed several boards which is worth looking into. Though MNRK had the highest number of insider buys at 15, the largest investment into a company today went to TTO with over $20 million worth of shares bought. VNDA was the second largest purchase du jour with just over $10 million worth of shares bought. Regardless, in awful market times like these, pay notice to who's buying & also what tickers are green. Finally, the only CFO's I saw buying work for: NK, HPQ, PHX, TEX, MNRK, MTW, FGP & CRBP.

The insider sales today also crossed many categories of my dissection. Check it out. As for the "biggies", the top sale of the day on Friday, the top sale went to FIT for over $65 million worth of shares dropped. Second & third in the sell off ran neck in neck with CDW dropping $52,860.000 worth of shares immediately followed by AR with $52,500,000 worth of shares dropped. The CFO's today were selling their stakes in: OFG, PDCE, AVGO, CVT, CBG, STNR, CNC, ACHC, BKU, SCSC, FBP, PRTA, HBI, CYT & MFA.

A huge factor of next week will be hedging your investments. I don't want to even remotely give advice here but please consider it. There are ETF's & ETN's that can & will work in your favor. That being said, happy homework weekend!

I Started Late, the List is Quasi-Short & the Buy Side is Stronger than Normal Along with the Holiday Shoppers

So again, I personally didn't do much today. I set up buy orders on TVIX & GLBL & obtained them both. I skied with kids all day so I didn't really check my account or anything. After I got back home, I saw how TERP killed it. Oh well, I took profits & cheers to others doing the same. I'm hopeful that GLBL can pull a TERP & based on after hour action I saw alone, GLBL & SUNE (TERP affiliates) both began their run up. I'm curious as to what tomorrow brings. The only regret I may have from today was picking TVIX over DUST for my hedging play. I saw DUST down 2% in the $15's & only viewed the daily chart when making TVIX my choice. We shall see what tomorrow brings. I wonder if we'll see a Friday sell off or if everyone is already sitting the bench like me.  Either way, here's the list of insiders that I gathered this evening:

Form 3's CCO, BV, CSRA, GTS, VTVT, GPS, VAG, SSFN, TAX, CYH, ADP, KERX, COG, WLB, WMLP, KFY, ARTM (2), BKKN, EZPW, RAX, NOG, CIVI, PHM (2), NHLD (2) & ITRI

Form 4's (Insider Selling): HIBB, TYL (2), UNTY, KELYA, QNTO, HAL (10), VLGEA, CSCD, FANG (2), NGHC, TSN, AFG, TPHS, DE (5), RJF, ORMP, VIVO, SHW, IBOC, AFL, SNPS (4), SWK (19), SAAS, HRL, VVI, ASBI, AMSWA (3), AMWD, AROW, SABR, HGTC (2), FIVN, TRR, SCT (4), WIFI, VNTV (2), GT, SFNC, KPTI, FXEN (9), OFG, EL, PLAV, SIGI, GCO, FNFG, CVT (3), FARM, PE, SCV, PMCS (2), HCSG, LINC (3), VABK, AIZ, ZMTP, CPB, LH, NATL, UTHR (2), COTY, HZNP (3), EMG, GHDX, XEC, LNC, INOV, WPC, RATE, FOSL, GNRT (4), BHBK (3), UFPT, CR, WTR, ADT, SMTC, TRUP, VEEV, MG, USNA (2), HEAR, ICE, NHTC, WY, AMBA, TTC, EA, GNMK (5), HUBS, LMAT, SHAK, SYRG, CNTY (2), CI, AR, IRMD, LNKD, COST, SKUL, OXY, CRVL, NWN, ANET, ICUI, SWKS, SBUX, MINI, ILMN, RDNT, ERI, MWWW, ABAX, MITK, HDP (2), ONVI, DXCM, VIAV, CPHD (2), RDI, ZAYO (2), PATK, BFS, RTRX, WOFA, BRKS, ZMTP, NATL, TAUG, BANC & HCP

Realistically, the buys were heavier than normal. Perhaps, there were almost as many insiders buying today compared to selling. 'Tis the season? Either way by just reviewing the beginning, I liked seeing TERP & GLBL. I'm curious about Blackrock's play on Restoration Hardware (RH) but I haven't read it yet. I'm also believing that seeing NHLD in multiple categories is going make me do some studying on it.

Since I wasn't live on my trading today, my Form 4 insights are mundane. The largest monetary investment into a company went to SYY today with insiders nabbing up $50,246,278 worth of shares. The second largest was into CVC for nearly $33 million & third was CCO for just over $22 million worth of shares purchased. I only saw two CFO's buying today who work for OPK & PSEC.

Lastly, the largest monetary drop in shares today goes to VNTV for dropping $691,065,169 worth of their shares. The second largest was decreasement by an insider was of just over $16 million worth of shares of TSN. Then, just over $10 million worth of share of SBUX was sold by insiders took number three. The handful of CFO's I noticed selling work for: AMSWA, OFG, PMCS, HCSG, VEEV, LMAT & LNKD.

I honestly need to do some of my own homework before speculating on Thursday's insider action. I also need to figure out for my plan for heading into the FED meeting. I hope that you are doing the same.

Is All the Buying & Selling Tapering for Now?

I was absent today. I made the mistake of selling TERP a tad too early but oh well. I profited, regardless. Out of my own fear of the market conditions, I sold my short position in NETE for a small profit & then sold ASTI on a stop-loss while skiing with a minor loss. I'm mostly out of the stocks I was holding before & now ready to play the game & take my chance making money on things like TVIX, UVXY, DWTI, DUST, LABD, SQQQ, TZA, etc. I haven't picked which play I'll make tomorrow but I'll figure that out after publishing this.  Though I was gone most of the day, here were the insider transactions I gathered after I got home:

With all of the other things that I have going on in my life, the light days like today make things a little easier on me but they also come off as bizarre. Are the end of year taxes impeding the insider transactions as we enter the holiday season? Or maybe it's the almost certain rate hike that we'll see December 16th? I'm really not sure why today was extra slow for these transactions but I am appreciative.

My notes tonight short & sweet like our list. Let's just leave it at my basic spheel beginning with the insider buys. Today's largest of the buy list went to PSTG with $17,608,936 worth of shares purchased followed by LE with almost $7 millions & SHLD with just over $5 million worth of shares purchased. I always like seeing SHLD doing purchasing because it usually leads me to a quick swing trade. As for the CFO's buy, BMTC, LNG, ONVI & BLSC were the only purchased today. LNG has been one to follow because of the legendary Carl Icahn's recent investment. Other than that, I don't have much asides....wouldn't it be nice to sell you GOOG, FIT or HZNP shares at full price & acquire them back for free?

On my sale list, I have SSNC as the largest monetary drop of stocks selling $17,426,751 worth of shares followed by GILD with just over $10 million & SHAK with nearly $9 million worth of shares dumped. The only CFO's I found selling today work for: CAMP, RP, INCR, OFG & APH....I like to follow the money & the CFO's do, too. I believe HAL had the most actual insider sellers today with 12 insiders selling though it didn't make the top 3. Please do keep in mind that HAL has been having insider sales for many days now.

Okay, time for my own personal homework. The market is getting fierce so be careful out there & do realize that if you have companies in green on these red days, there's probably a good reason to hold that company a little long. Anyhow, best of luck to you all!

Late Night, Long Day, Long List

Yeah, yeah, yeah....it's tomorrow but whatever. These trades were from Wednesday, December 8th. I went skiing all day & then to a holiday party. Asides that, I sold out of TERP & NETE from the mountain. I'm still in ASTI & think I'll get a chance out with nice profits while I ski tomorrow....please work. After ASTI, I will be out most everything & exactly where I wanted to be right now as ski season is my priority in winter. I'll still do my best to track the insiders while hopefully making a little money along the way. Here were the one's I was able to catch after hours tonight:

Form 3's: LXU (2), FPAY, NMFC, KMT, ROST, ISIG, SQBG (11), PBY, MRO, BKYI, DFT, PF, PMTS, CALL, VSYS, X, MOVN, MYE & RUBI

I need to be brief because it truly is WAY too late & I have my own day to pursue tomorrow. Regardless, I'll start at the top with SQBG hitting nearly every category. I had to look at the chart. It's not bad. The big thing that stuck out for me with that was that Martha Stewart was an insider buyer & submitted forms.  This company may be worth checking in to.

As for the insider buyer Form 4's, AYR has hit the list again & interesting because it's the Uber of private jets. Also, Icahn's purchase of nearly $12 million worth of HTZ shares definitely stood out along with his 13D for the same. The largest purchase today actually went to NTG for $2,000,000,000,000 worth of insider shares bought....interesting. Another interesting note I took was that Icahn also went for PBY again in a 13D so keep your eyes on it. The only CFO's  I caught buying today work for: ANCX, AJSB, CDI, FSP, TSC & IILG.

On the sale side, the real big sale goes to NUAN for $206,907,165 worth of shares sold followed by INCE with $198,092,835 worth of shares sold. DPLO squeaked into third with just over $77 million worth of shares dropped. Let's see...other interesting notes include that Marissa Mayer has sold more stake in her YHOO investment. Also, the CFO's selling today worked for: ZAYO, MBCI, YHOO, ROX, SXL, CPFI, TSC, OME, IIIN, SZYM & NEWR. That's all I have for now. Goodnight, folks.

Insiders that I Tracked Today & a Small Rant

Good evening & sorry this is coming out so late but it may be like that more & more now that ski season is really here. Wow....just wow, I truly can't believe Vail Resorts (MTN) beat their earnings this morning! I would have bet against them had I known their earnings was today. Luckily, I didn't. Vail is taking over the world of skiing but I just didn't think they'd have enough gusto in the Summer & Fall to deliver though they do have Southern Hemisphere resorts. Anyhow, kudos to you Vail Resorts. You defied my belief.

I'm not sure what all of you are trading but considering the end of the year is approaching & the Fed is likely to raise interests rates on the 16th, I  personally have begun exiting some more positions. I'm glad I held off on Disney (DIS) again today. I will be in before the 24th but it's still not the right timing in my opinion. Next, I'm a little bummed that I missed a DUST day but oh well. I got to take my daughter skiing. I pretty much sold everything except these 2 pennies that have been running (both ASTI & NETE). I kind of plan on looking for exits on both tomorrow while I'm up, though. It'll be great to start doing some of the bigger plays again but I'm kind of going to lay low & go in & out of what I see with promising charts for the next little bit here. Anyhow, enough with my banter, here were the insider's I tracked today:

So...I, like so many of you, am always looking for the next "big" investment &/or trade & recently I've heard that Martin Shkreli is going to buy another company so I began watching his webcasts (when I am afforded time to). I was in one over the weekend (in & out but it was open...I have a toddler...I can't be completely invested in these things). This one that I watched was less informational than others I've seen. Martin is a really knowledgeable man & a decent teacher I have discovered. Either way, this one occurred after an office party he attended so his mind wasn't at the top of it's game. It began as a lesson but then became more or less entertainment for the viewers. Finally, Martin quit interacting with his audience & moved on to a computer game. In the live chat, a moderator asked how we got into trading. There were crickets. No one responded for a hot minute. I felt like an awkward tension was evident so I began. From there I was asked more questions. Upon answering the questions to the most thorough of my ability, the moderator told me to stop soliciting. I was beyond offended. A. I didn't mention any specific names, websites, etc. B. he was essentially telling me not to solicit my blog which I do completely for free & only began sharing recently because I figured why not share my work & C. the reason any of it came up was because I was asked questions & wanted to answer thoroughly. Regardless, I was irritated, annoyed, maybe even hurt by this minion's futile comment. I truly hope that nobody who does read my blog thinking that I am doing this for money. I literally have been doing the work for myself for awhile now & only recently decided to share with others for the greater good, based on a friend's request. That being said, I hope my extra work in actually journaling this online is appreciated by at least some readers. This is the most thorough list of insider transactions that you are going to find for free. I apologize for the vent but it was necessary.

Moving on...in the top section, KBIO stands out but I believe it's just the addition of a board member or something. I honestly haven't had the time to read that form yet. Another that really stood out to me was the 13D for LNG filed by Carl Icahn along with his major Form 4 he filed. Maybe it's almost time to get back into the energy sector with this one. I really respect Carl Icahn & his choices.

As for the Form 4's buys I tracked today, LNG had the largest insider purchase made with over $120 million worth of shares bought by Mr. Icahn. The second largest purchase I saw was for ETE & the third largest was for SHLD (both over $20 million bought). The only CFO's I tracked buying shares in their companies today work for: NRG, EPM, MNK, ETE & HIFR. Like I say, follow the money & usually the CFO's know the money the best.

The Form 4 insider sales that I tracked today were on a bit shorter list than usual. From what I saw, STOR lead the insider selling with over $44.5 million worth of shares sold followed by COTY with just under $28 million & SIX with just above $23 million worth of shares sold off. The only CFO's I saw selling today work for: DPS, SCLN, TYL, NUVA & N. I truly hope this information helps someone out there. I wish I had more insights for you tonight but I need to do my homework first.

Weekend is Here...Homework, Homework, Homework

So basically I missed yesterday completely. I haven't been that sick in quite some time & hope to not feel that way again ever. I literally couldn't even stay awake long enough to check my stocks, let alone trade them. That being said, I'm still in TERP & CBAY. Both rode rollercoasters yesterday but I'm still up on both investments so I'm continuing my belief in them. TERP was extra crazy today. I almost wished I hadn't been watching. It ended up higher in after hours, though. What a wild ride I seem to be on with this one & my attempt to hold on to it until the dividend on December 15th. My only new position today was NETE for $0.21 that I could have sold but am feeling a swing trade for Monday or Tuesday. I know.... shame on me.... I am swing trading a penny. For some of you, this makes me lose my credibility. In my defense, NETE was one that I found via the insiders I track & it's still listed on the Nasdaq. Plus, it made me a lot of money last week with a small investment. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut.

Anyhow, here were the insiders that I tracked today, Friday, December 4th:

I really wish I could've tracked yesterday. The day off means extra homework over the weekend. Hopefully, whomever reads this was able to track their own forms for the day & caught whatever they needed to.

It's always interesting to see the forms that come in really late. The ones that don't arrive until after most of us assume the transactions are done for the day. The latest forms I tracked tonight were for PINC, TERP & SYN (all different categories but all positive nonetheless). SYN was the sneakiest coming through at 8:15 p.m. EST with their buy paperwork. All 3 companies are actually of great interest to me & you can bet that I will be checking them out over the weekend.

The largest buy on the Form 4 side today was for HPQ with just under $1 million worth of shares purchased. This was followed by AYR with just over $600K worth of shares bought. The one that interests me more of the two is AYR because it's had an insider buying for like a month now. RDEN stood out because it hit multiple lists & I already put it on my watchlist. The CFO's buying today work for HAL, FMNB & ED.

The largest sale I saw via Form 4 sale today was for SYK by Ronda Stryker who has been selling for months. Today she sold off almost $35 million worth of her company's shares. REGN was the second largest I saw with a seller dumping almost $24 million worth of shares. The sneaky companies that submit their forms when I was nearly done with this write up were IMMU, PLUG, ZAYO, SHAK, BJRI & MWA (yes, this was after I mentioned the late buyers above). SHAK Form 4's were well over $12 million worth of shares sold. I'm personally much more interested in the buyers who try to sneak their forms in after we quit looking but if you currently own some of these sneaky sellers, I'd recommend keeping a close eye on your investment. Anyhow, the CFO's I tracked selling today work for: GLPI, RNG, XCO, CVLT, HII, GEVO, EHTH, QLGC, PLUG, PDII & MWA.

Okay, I have a ton of homework to do this weekend. Hopefully, all of you found some nice profits in your portfolios & hopefully me tracking these helps you in some way. The goal is that we all make money in this market. Have a great weekend everyone!

And I Forgot About Yellen

I never would have sold off the DUST I was holding yesterday if I had remembered that Yellen was speaking today. Oh well. No harm, no foul. It's not bad taking money out of risky ETF's & holding it aside as just cash for the time being. As of now, Asian markets appear to be down & metals are sliding down after Yellen's remarks today. U.S. futures are still uncertain & waffling as they will likely continue to be through the night. Today's act of evil that took place in Southern California deserves both prayers & awareness. They haven't pinned why this merciless act occurred but they have ruled out terrorism. I do believe that terrorism is lurking nowadays & we all need to be aware. It's disturbing that these shootings continue to occur worldwide. Please stay peaceful but on guard.

Here's where I like to spin off into my personal trades for the day which were very light as my toddler was still sick & my focus was on her...hence the late posting. Today I held TERP while holding my breath. I still think it's going be a winner & I'm up over a dollar a share. I also held CBAY while holding my breath as well. Phew...it ended up down $0.02 but I'm still up over 20%. I too, have faith that this will be rising with a green market day. Finally, I went out on a limb & bought ASTI, QCOM & VHC. I'm up on all three as of now. ISR sold from my account based on that stop loss I set yesterday but that is likely a blessing because the chart looks like it's headed downhill. ASTI was kind of one that I was eyeing based on a friend's suggestion but QCOM & VHC were both one's I began to watch based on these insiders I track. I'm still looking to re-enter DIS but awaiting the chart to settle more. They did release that their dividend will be $0.76 for owners in before Christmas Eve today, though.

Okay, here were the insiders that I did track today:

So yesterday I made mention that I likely wouldn't separate the Form 4's that were filed for a monetary value versus $0 value to you unless it was a slow day. Well today's the exception. It was an extremely busy day for the forms being filed but I still segregated so that you could see what was going on. I might not always be able to produce this result but hopefully it helps someone out there reading this tonight.

I'm going begin my insights tonight with the Form 3's as I was ecstatic to see TERP cross the wires again way late in after hours. I was also happy for friends of mine whom are invested in VMEM & IDRA. I hope these help you guys out. I thought it was interesting to see four more Form 3's filed for GDEF (a Global Defense stock that I've still yet to research but I know it's an OTC). Also, prior to today's shooting, RGR crossed the wires again. The last time it crossed was a couple weeks ago. The CFO's that I saw filing Form 3's today filed to become insiders for: TERP, GLBL, ALOG, KWR & GDEF. The Form 3 list is becoming the most interesting list I track but that may be because it's shorter & easier to digest than the Form 4's I spew out.

As for the 13D's & G's, I barely caught any of the G's but that could've been my lack of observation. Tonight I'm not listing the increases nor decreases though I do have most of them on my notes. If these are stocks you are interested in, I shall let you create your own homework project of them. I was interested to see TERP & NETE both hit this list today for personal reasons but I will leave it at that.

When scrutinizing the Form 4's, I have many notes. The first note is that lately, the monetary values of the insider buys has been far less than the sales. This does not always ring true but has for the past week or so. The largest monetary purchase into a company via Form 4 was for EPD with just over $3 million worth of shares purchased followed by HCOM with just under $2.5 million worth of shares purchased. The only CFO's I caught buying here worked for: LFS. REM. UEC. ARAY, GPC, IT, T, RGCO & KNX. The CFO's acquiring shares for $0 via Form 4 work for: SSRG, SBRA, YCB, TSN & AAT. On the contradictory stocks I caught, I saw that the buys in PLPC, KNX & GPC outweighed their sales.

After reviewing today's Form 4 sales list, I was exhausted. There were really too many to nit-pick upon.  I will generalize here for you as well. CDW was the largest monetary sell off filing sales worth $352,400,000 worth of shares dropped by insiders. This was followed by QTS with just under $105 million worth of shares sold & MSCI with just under $45.5 million worth of shares sold by insiders. There were quite a few CFO's selling today which worked for: SMTC, PMCS, NEWR, STNR, RMAX, BEN, KLAC, BLDR, SMTC, OPHT, FARM, MRTN, CCMP, CSC, MBFI, DE, SSNC, TSN, IIIN, TACT, ELLI, KOW, ARAY, BCOV, RSPP, MNK, FTNT, DWRE, CALD, DFT, XCRA, PDFS, KEM, TYL & SBRA. A couple of insider sales that outweighed the buys were UFCS & IRMD but I stopped tracking that early because I was busy today.

I always like to point out that these insider transactions are usually most noteworthy when approaching or just exiting their earnings reports. I also encourage you again to pay attention to the one's that we see repeatedly making the lists. The insiders know more than we do so it's worth following what they are up to if you are invested in their stock or looking to trade it.

Hopefully, I soon update this blog format into something that I can be more proud of but as of recently, I just hadn't had the time. I do hope that someone out there finds this information helpful. I track it for myself & began this blog to help others to consolidate these transactions so that we may all benefit from the knowledge or awareness of them. Please do your own homework but let's all try to make money together.

Let the Rally Continue - Follow the Money

I know that I had an awesome day today with my doubts in myself & TERP being reversed. It's always great when some press release comes out & turns in your favor. I hope for the rally to continue for a couple more days at least. It'd be fantastic if it lasted until the dividends are paid on December 15th but that is wishful thinking. It would be nice to get the extra $0.35/share, though. Other than that, I bought back into NETE at $0.315. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm aware that it's pretty much a penny stock but it's still listed with the Nasdaq & has been having a heck of a rally. I normally don't buy back in after the gains I acquired on day 2 of the rally but this time around, I think I made the right choice...please work. My third big contender today was CBAY. I had hunch, what can I say? I bought in this morning at $1.36. What a great day!

I did cut my losses on DUST with much dismay.  It just doesn't look like it's going shape up just yet. I bought in last week at $20.35 & had to take the loss at $17.98. I was happy a friend who follows this position told me that it lost it's support at $18 via messenger while I was doing laundry. Also, I'm doubting my convictions on ISR & the chart isn't showing me a reason to hold. I set a stop loss at $1.18. If it sells tomorrow, I will be able to get the money into something more lucrative. Perhaps, I will get back into DIS with it.

Next, my stock group on Facebook killed it today, too with positions in ASTI, ATV, CLNT, CNET, FOMX, GIGA & others. I am happy our team is finally pulling it together so well. I know a lot of these shares are kind of low end but they all did great today & percentages are really the only thing that matter to me. Trust me, I can't wait to play KMI (& other stocks) again but it's chart is still heading downwards & I kind of promised myself not to jump in another downtrend, if I can help it. Either way, I'll be back into some of the fancier stocks soon. It's hard to deny these biotech's when they are hot.

Enough about me, here's today's list:

Form 3's: HTBX, CUI, FSS (2), FDEF, BBLU, ACW, KFY, KBIO (2), GBL (2), TNGO (2), FUEL, GLBL & BKD

Form 4's (Insider Sales): RSTI (3), UVV (2), BDX, IQNT (3), BHB, CTSH (2), IOSP, JOUT, CMPR (2), FUL, VLGEA, CFFI (2), XOM (13), RDI, DCI (2), BLMT, CLSN, KOP, EGBN, REPH, OHI, PWR, NFBK, TDC (6), IMN (2), ATRO, PNR (2), UNTY, PCCC (4), HCKT, CAC, PGND, IQNT, OZRK, NBIX, DVN (7), INTU, PII, IMGN (2), PG, SHAK, UFCS, PRTA, PAYX, IR, ACAS, AMTD, BLK, PN, CBM, ZION (2), HBCP, GGP, DW (3), LNC, IIIN, ADXS (5), RLJ (4), DWRE, WVVI, SFBS, AOS, LPX, WM (2), WWWW, CRY, CLRB, BRCM, AL, PFPT, NDSN (8), JIVE (2), JPEP, PEGI (4), CARB (2), DPLO, SHAK, ZBK, AAL, DY, SQBG, GOOG, STL, MGT, OMED, ARDX, ORIT, SIBC (10), WAL, ELLY, YHOO (4), MWA (8), ANET, LMAT, BHLB, PENN (2), PLNR (7), VSAT, EPAY, HRG (3), WDAY, BNFT, JCOM, FRED, VRTU (2), SP, GEVO (8), MPWR, MDLZ, PCTY, ABCD, CVCO, ATRA, MARK, CSRA, EW, PMBC, AHS, LC, JMBA, NEWR (2), WERN (9), CNC, BDGE, DMRC, WMT, TRUP, FNGN, SKYW, TWTR, AVB (2), STML, PDCE, COST, CAA, CSCD, LION & NMBL

Form 4's (Insider Disposal for $0): NGL, MORN, PLKI, CATY, UNF (3), BNFT, BLK (2), ZION, PGI, GK, MKTX, CAH, COO, FBIZ, COHU, NTGR & TWTR

I'm not sure if you noticed but yesterday, I added a new feature that I can continue on the days where there aren't a heavy level of insider trades. Sometimes, shares are acquired or disposed via Form 4 in different circumstances such as when the Board of Directors is repositioned, or for holiday bonuses. Perhaps even for diversions like in the cases of GOOG or TWTR today who both had their founders selling shares. Hopefully, this feature is useful to you. As always, please conduct your own due diligence before embarking or disposing of any of your own investments or trades.

That being said, the Form 3's interested me the most today for multiple reasons. One reason was that we see KBIO back up there with 2 Form 3's filed. Interestingly, no shares were listed on the forms. Possibly, they were just filed to issue the new directors. I honestly do not know. Then when looking through my CFO's, Form 3's were filed for the CFO's of BKD, FUEL, ACW & HTBX which is something that I find interesting when I'm following the money. Finally, that TNGO stock that I was holding for a $2+/share gain had more Form 3's today. I need to take another look at that one. Apparently, I sold to early as it went up again today.

As for the Form 4 insider buys, our top monetary purchase goes to CTXS again for just over $2 million worth of shares. I did find it interesting to see PIR with 11 insider buys again after all of those buys yesterday. This is another one that I will need to review tonight after I get my daughter to bed.  The CFO's buying today work for: APXS, MARK, MCBK, EGN & GROW.

Finally, the Form 4 sales today had TWTR leading the pack with over $46 million worth of shares sold. I've heard Evan Williams is more involved with a new endeavour nowadays. Maybe that's why he's selling...who knows? Next comes GOOG again with Brin Sergey selling off over another $25 million worth of his shares. I'm telling you, he's been selling forever. I wonder what he is up to. Finally, WDAY took third with just over $12.5 million worth of shares sold off. The CFO's selling today work for the following companies: HRG, AOS, PDCE, ESES, IIIN, CRY, CFFI, SFBS, GEVO, ATRA, BNFT, LION, WERN, VRTU, PLNR, PCTY, YHOO, MWA, SIBC, DW, SQBG, CARB, NDSN, RLJ, BLK, PCCC, TDC, BLMR & JOUT.

This is where I leave you tonight. Sorry Charles, but what we were looking for didn't cross the wires today (doesn't mean the forms weren't filled out today, though). Hopefully, tomorrow is another profitable day on the market for everyone.

Light Day for Insider Sheets

On this red day, I didn’t do much of anything today with the market. I did pick up some a small position of WGBS because of all the Shkreli hype but I know I shouldn’t do that. Oh well. It’s done. Other than that, I’m still holding my position in DUST from Friday. I’m also holding the ISR & TERP purchases I made of Friday. I have a substantial watch list & it mostly looks great but I’m awaiting the start of the month to make moves. Honestly, I’m not sure where TERP is going to go but I initially wanted to make sure that I bought in before December 1st so that I could qualify for the $0.35 dividend that will be issued December 15th. Hopefully, the chart starts heading in the right direction because today it was a miss for me. Other than that, I tracked less insider transactions than normal. Here is what I gathered:

The largest monetary buy into a stock today via Form 4 was for CAPL with just under $1.5 million invested into the company. CAPL has made out buyer list for many, many weeks now. CTXS which has also been frequenting our buyer list, was the second largest monetary investment also with just under $1.5 million worth of shares bought. The CFO’s that I saw buying today worked for RMGN, ORM & FLWS.

The largest monetary sale of shares today again went to GOOG with over $30 million worth of shares sold. The second largest monetary sales of shares today went to NLSN with over $17 million worth of shares sold. The companies whose CFO’s were selling today were TACT, FARM, CNSL, K, NP, WASH, POWI, SMTC, FGEN, XOXO & KITE.

That is all that I have for now. I need to tend to my sick child. I hope everyone will be able to find some green tomorrow.

Short List - Apparently, Black Friday isn't a Day for Insider Trading

Insider transactions were low, as expected for a random half day on a holiday weekend. I really didn't expect much. So since I have a lot less tickers to type tonight, I am going to give you guys full details from my trades today.

Today was a random buy & sell day for me for two reasons. The first reason was that I had a limited buy window so I went kind of quick based on some charts that I had studied. I bought TERP at $7.14, ISR at $1.14 & DUST at $20.35. The DUST order actually came through while I was skiing. I more than likely would have waited for it to be cheaper if I were home watching the movement. The second reason today was random was because my sales today were all on stop losses because I was on the mountain. I sold the remainder of my DIS at $115 (I was in since the $111's), BCRX sold at $10.28 (in from the $9.80's) & TNGO sold at $8.51 (in since $6). Since I've been home, I've assembled a good buy list for Monday but I have a lot more homework to knock out this weekend so we shall see what I actually do on Monday.

Okay, now for the insiders that I caught today:

Form 3's: TROX, AMTD, JCI, VNCE, RJET, ENV & BTX

13D's: HUM, DSWL (2), SMI, ASCMA, HECC, SKY (2), RNVA, RLD, LMRK, PRPH, DUMA (2), BLDR, ASBB, SM, CLRX, EROS & ARPI

13G's: LQ (-), TROX, GALT (-), GRUB (+), PRGX (-) & AAAP

Form 4's (Insider Buys): AYR, VHC, CTXS (2), HCP, OPK, EDGW, UVE, XOM (23), ARES, TIPT, MBRG, KYN, FBP (10), CFNL (10), UBNK, AMTD (14), EVOL, PW, SO, FFIC, VR (2), VIVMF, EUSP, NWS, HAYN (5), FRPT, THST, LTNC, WAIR, WPT, CDTX & SIRO (6)

Form 4's (Insider Sales): MTD, ILMN, XOM (15), PSEM (2), SPH, IQNT (2), GOOG, AN, FBPT (8), WSM, SHAK, CPB (3) GPX, EWBC, HIVE, SPA, CSGS, JACK (8), NEO (2), ANET, PMCS, PRI, SVU, TRS, NWS, HAYN (3), TRMB, BLCM, DW, ITCI, SQBG, ENV, MBFI, OSIS (3), TRUP, FB, BDSI & USCR

I really don't have a ton to say about these. I mean. We've seen RJET, CTXS, LMRK, BLDR, UVE, EVOL, ARES, ILMN, MTD, GOOG, SHAK, JACK & a few others’ quite a bit lately. Several of the tickers that we see on both the buy & sell list were actually for insiders who sold their personal shares & then acquired a greater amount of shares for $0.00. I mean, if you are looking into buying, selling or trading any of these, definitely do your own due diligence before doing so.

Today’s largest insider sale via Form 4 actually went to FB today with one of it’s directors disposing over $108 million worth of his shares. The second largest sale of stake in a company went to GOOG via its co-founder Brin Sergey selling over $25 million dollars’ worth of shares. Brin has been selling for months now. The CFO’s I saw selling work for JACK, BLCM & ITCI.

I hope that this helps out some of you with your homework & that everyone enjoys the rest of their long weekend.

Stock Brokers & Social Media: the New Buzz...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Yes, as investors & traders we have always found a way to communicate with each other. We have found a way to discuss ideas we have or ask about rumors we have heard or charts that we view but now our communication is evolving rapidly. Now we are living in a new era filled with an information overload available at our fingertips.

I believe StockTwits was really the first major platform that brought traders & investors together to discuss their stocks of interest. Well...StockTwits & Yahoo Finance message boards. Those were my gateway into social media stock talk. They are both great places to go in to see sentiment on certain stocks that you are following along with the occasional know it all that is actually right. You just really have to comb through the info in there to insure what you read it true.

StockTwits was wonderful when analyzing any single stock & is still a resource that I use today. In fact, StockTwits was where I was given an invitation into my first Facebook stock group this past May. Also, my top mentor will only communicate with me via StockTwits and email so I will continue using it on a daily basis & treasure the relationship that I built there with the most knowledgeable market genius that I know. Yes, D, you are the best & I'm a thankful for your teaching, insight & data that you produce every day.

My first stock group that I joined on Facebook fascinated me. I was constantly affixed to the ideas that these Brainiac’s were coming up with. They were mostly biotech's which was new to me but the potential was so high in the returns that I was hooked. I would share the name of this group but it is a "secret group". In my opinion, it's still one of the better groups on Facebook today.

I became so involved that I took a role as an admin & did my best to help administer the page while trying to keep the activity high by creating a presence in the group that engaged the members. I began going on to StockTwits to recruit other good minds into the group as I was brought into the group in that manner. I made many friends along the way. I learned how special the group that I was in with a highly active membership was. I thank you guys & girls. You know who you are. You were the ones who got me into more than just blue chips & taught me so much even if sometimes it cost me.

By mid-June, I tried venturing out joining many other stock groups looking to find more diversity but discovered that most of these groups were so lacking of a good admin team that they were diluted with spam containing only the random post here & there from the hopeful trader seeking an answer from anyone out there listening.

By mid-summer, more of these Facebook groups began to form. Some were too specific while others were too broad for me. There were also the pages where there was too much hostility & potentially the shady deal happening here & there. Of course there will be a bad egg here or there but the beauty of it is that you can chose to block these people. All in all, I believe I still belong to all of these groups but I really don't frequent them often. I figure that it can't hurt to belong because they may come in handy one day.

Towards the beginning of August, I came across the page I was looking for because swing trading was the style of trading that suited me best. The page was Swing Trade Elite & my expectations were likely too high based on its name alone. My presumption of the group was diminished upon entering it. It was completely covered in spam with a few legit blogs in between. I noticed a nice comment every here & there from the founder of the page. Through his posting, his voice was so inspired though his page had lost its way. I decided to contact him only to discover that he wasn't even the administrator of the page. Out of the spirit of goodwill, I still contacted the self-proclaimed leader of the group & asked him what was going on? I had such high hopes for this page.

It turned out that Charles had lost control of his page because he had accidentally demoted himself. I had to help. I'm a Facebook nerd & know the in's & out's. I had to help him regain power of his group so that he could have the integrity he needed behind the page. We worked things out with another member that he had made an admin. (This man is another one of the most brilliant traders I have ever encountered. His level of trading blows my mind, as does his intelligence). Upon contacting him, he happily made Charles an admin of his page again. He had no idea that it had happened.  Charles & I were both grateful.

Charles made me an admin to help him with cleaning up some of the garbage in there & together with our third admin & fellow blogger of Candleglance247, Steve we starting creating something that we'd like to put our names on. (Shout out to Steve for convincing me to begin my own blog.... thanks, friend). Together we brought life back to the page that so many had left or forgotten. This page is still a nice "go to" for any level of trader from novice to professional. I just wish that it had more activity with its large membership. Either way, thank you Charles for befriending me & helping me along the way. Also, for helping me develop the next tier. I hope our friendship lasts a lifetime & I mean that.

After fixing Swing Trade Elite, someone gave me the idea to start following Tim Sykes, Superman & other celebrated, modern day traders. I began using that twitter account I had set up in 2008 that had been collecting dust ever since. I started to find & follow other traders on there but it didn't have the appeal nor the engagement that the Facebook groups presented. I do understand the broadcasting aspect that it does offer along with some valuable resources that I have also become accustomed to using. That being said, twitter is another great resource for us traders not to mention all of the stock market chat rooms that you can join via twitter.

For whatever reason, I wanted more. More social media stock talk though it was turning me into a stock jock rather than an athlete. I joined profit.ly which is a cool site that I do check & post to at least once a week. There are a lot of student investors in there that can really offer some valid insight, as well.

By the autumn, some filtering began in the Facebook groups which brought the better people from these larger, savage groups into smaller groups with more active & intelligent people sharing ideas. Some of these groups are my favorite places to mine for stock ideas & share my ideas. The filtering continues & literally, we are getting some of the best groups out there nowadays.

I've only been blogging for a few weeks now & literally finally discovered yet another platform for traders & investors to go to when they are doing their research. These are the stock groups in the Google+ communities.... duh...I should have known that sooner but it's not the most active place to be yet. Either way, I began distributing my new blog in there as well.

I suppose that my purpose for this write up is for a few reasons. The first is the awareness that these things exist, for anyone out there who is a trader &/or investor who has yet to discover them. I think it's clear that I favor Facebook groups the most for my day to day research but the others that I mentioned are also valuable depending on what you are seeking. Literally, one of my computers will have about 10 to 12 tabs open at a time for social media & data gathering purposes.

Also, I think that this gives a lot of us more purpose to use social media than we would have in the past. Before it seemed that I'd only go onto Facebook to post hokey pictures, wish people happy birthday or keep in touch with distant friends & relatives. Now I find myself on Facebook daily in this cohesive community of new friends that I've found with similar interests. I love it! As a trader who works from home, this social media thing has become a necessity to do my job. Finally, Wall Street has found its place on social media & it is such a great tool for us all.

The people I have met come from all walks of life & live all over the world. It's a beautiful thing that we have come together. I totally feel purpose for social media now & I feel like I have found my place in it as well. We share a common vision & help each other out. I believe we are making a little more than we would be on our own because of it, too. I'm grateful for you all. I can't wait to much further we evolve. I'm so thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
