The market did one of the precarious upticks into green today though the inevitable red seems to be in our futures. With Martin Luther King Day this upcoming Monday, I anticipate more people going into cash over the weekend so that they are more secure over the long weekend. This is purely speculation but in times like these, I don't think any traders truly trusts keeping their money in the market for any extended period.

Today was rather light for forms that crossed the wires. Please keep in mind that we are coming into a lot of Q4 reports within the next month & sometimes these insiders can really give us nice clues of what to anticipate going into earnings reports.

The buying side was more substantial today than the selling side. The largest insider buy today again went to OPK with their main man purchasing over $158 million worth of shares. The second largest by was via multiple insiders buying into ARDX totalling about $145 million worth of shares. Mr. Buffett took third with his nearly $67 million worth of shares purchased of PSX but please bear in mind he's been buying millions daily. Based on my "follow the money" theory, here's a quick list of CFO's purchasing shares of their stocks today: OFG, BSGM, ASNA, ADC, COLB, AFH & ANDE.

There weren't any huge insider sales today. Most of them were under $1 million worth of shares but a few did go over that mark. The most notable was for LNKD because the total was over $1 million & the seller was the CFO. Other CFO's selling today included those working for these companies: CLNT, CHEF, GHDX, NOW, TXRH, SRE, SNX, WR, CAMP, W, DNAI, CIEN & CPHD.

All in all, I hope my data collection helps somebody out there. Also, please be cautious with current market conditions.
