Time for a Pullback?
With earnings season just kicking on, I should be sharing these more often. The thing is, I have a fairly busy summer myself so I honestly can't promise I will. Either way, the turmoil globally has been overwhelming as markets continue upwards.
It is absurd that the markets have become so stable & even powerful when we would anticipate them to sympathize to the international turmoil. Regardless, I'm personally predicting a pullback this week. It's definitely overdue. Therefore, I picked up UVXY on Thursday & held both overnight that night & am still holding. I may be completely wrong but we shall see soon.
Enough about me, here's the data I collected from Friday, July 15th:
13D's: HLF, LDRH, OSG (5), ATSG, CPXX, OKSB, LDRH, ECIG & JFC
13G's: JMEI, CLVS, WBAI, ALJ, DRI, CYRT, NI, BRG, XLNX, XLBH & FXS
Form 3's: ACHC, SRNE, BHLB, XRM, CNRM, TURV, PSMT, NNAN, CLCN, SUMR, CHRT, CATM, CRCM (2), DHR, WEX (3), ECIG, CIO, MSFT, CSLT & ESND
Form 4's (Insider Buys): AA (2), YORW (6), JGW, DCA (3), RILY, LII (9), ERC, DSU, DHG, RIPT, STAG (6), NNUTU, VWR, RHP, ED, VABK, MGLN, RNVA (2), FUR, SCG (2), CUBE, LMRK, AZZ, BLIN, KFS, LXRP, MDSY & CWGL
Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): B (4), HBMD (11), KR (3), LIMA, BFA (2), PRMT, WSTC, SUMR, CHK (2), RGEN, VUZI (3), COO, SEAC (5), OPRX (2), YELP, VEEV, HCOM, OXY (7), ODP (4), AMRS (10) & NPTN (3)
Form 4's (Insider Sales): ADI, MMS, ALOG, UVV, B (4), OMN, K, LII, SYK, AMWD, XEC (3), CRS, USNA (2), YUM, PLD, AMID, ESSA, WDFC, VRTX, ANDE, COL, SWK, LKD (3), AKAM, NVTA, MON (2), UTHR, SIGI, STT, AOSL, IMPR (2), KMX (2), AGM (2), TYPE, ENBL, VSAT (2), XPO, DAL, ZSAN (2), SHAK (2), CTL, RGEN, AMR, NVDA (2), SAEX, GRUB, CPRT, GWRE, SMTC, MCK, AZZ, HSON, CVLT (5), NDAQ, GLPI, IQNT, QTWO, YELP, YUMA, DY (2), BCOR, GPN, CIEN, SUPN, PERY (2), PLAY (2), VEEV, XTLY, LOCK, SUM, MOV, OXY (3), TAX, HQY (2), ROVI, AAC (2), OMER, LITE, WDAY, TDOC, ILMN, WEB, CRM (2), NILE, ANGO, TNET, CUDA, JCTCF, CBDS, IESC, MBFI, TUBE, XFTB & SYY
Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): ACHC, PNY (2), HBMD, BFA (2), ABM, SHEN, DAL, NGL, SHAK, COO & ATSG
I'm going to be brief on my wrap up notes because I have other things to do but the only CFO buying works for RNVA. The CFO's selling work forOXY, SUPN, DY, YUMA, MCK, CVLT, RGEN, VSAT, SWK, XEC, B, MBFI, SYY & PLAY. I always note the CFO's because I like to follow the money & the CFO's usually know what's up.
The largest buy on Friday via Form 4 goes to B. Riley Financial (RILY) with $865,161 worth of shares purchased. Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) was a notable ticker from the 13D list because of the amount of filers. I pulled the chart & it looked as if it hit a double bottom not too long ago & is headed back upwards with potential to get back above $15 per share. The other very noteworthy 13D purchase was placed by Carl Icahn for Herbalife (HLF) who picked up 17M more shares of the stock. As for the 13G's, I noted that Steve Cohen has increased his stake by 71% in Alon USA Energy Inc (ALJ), picking up an additional amount of 2,691,948 company shares.
On the sale end of Friday, Yum Brands (YUM) was the largest sale with the CEO selling $3,979,601 worth of his shares. I also always find it interesting when I see insiders essentially selling their index like Friday's sale of Nasdaq OMX Group (NDAQ) of $1,669,822 worth of shares sold by the Executive Vice President. The largest sale from an individual shareholder last week sold on Monday, July 11th by a Facebook (FB) Director who sold off $169,791,612 worth of their shares.
That's all I have for now as I await the open of the global markets. I hope this helps somebody out there.

Friday Was Brexodus to the Markets - Insider Forms Fairly Normal Still
Brexit poll results took the world by storm while the anticipated result was denied & the British decided to leave the European Union causing a very impactful, negative blow to global markets. I was personally about to leave for Thursday night's 'Music in the Park' when the first official tally was announced for a very small region of the voting area. I was upset all day with my long positions of UVXY & IAU along with my short position in SPY. I felt dismal about it all but somehow stuck to my gut & held. When the first region of Gibraltar was reported on Bloomberg, things seemed even worse for the positions I was holding, with a whopping 95% coming in for "remain". Luckily, I was more than just in a hurry to get out the door or I may have cut losses before after hours closed. While in attendance of the music that evening, I finally checked my phone & bingo! What seemed like a Brexit result was playing out like I had expected despite the media shifting the the "Bremain" standpoint all week long. Anyhow, that was my plan & I reluctantly stuck to it resulting in the rewards I had anticipated. Typically, UVXY is not a long position but I have held it over the weekend in belief that the markets will continue their descent. I feel it to be safe because UVXY is geared up for a technical bounce Monday morning anyways with the 10 SMA about to cross up the 20 SMA.
Anyhow, I haven't written a blog since April because quite frankly, I have been busy & my trading has been somewhat subdued with me just holding long positions for the past month or so. I finally did my own research to see what the big boys were buying & selling so I will pass along the information to anyone reading. I will likely be tracking this next week, too but cannot promise I'll have time to pull together a blog. Either way, here is the data I collected from Friday, June 24th. I hope it helps someone out there.
13D's: TPHS, JASN, DO, CNA, MSBF, SNTA, YKTX, CHRS, SCON, PTX, EJ & DLBDF
13G's: INFI, MFSF, FDC, GBT, SELF, GROW, EGRX & HCFB
Form 3's: LM, CELG, EOS, EVM, EIA, CEV, WAB, QLTI, NXN, NNC, NUO, NPP, JPC, NPF, NPM, NPI, OXM, MIW, EIM, EVN, EQT, EVJ, ENX, JPS, MNTA, EVY, EVO, EIP, EVP, JRS, T, GBBI (2), NIM, NQS, NXP, LENS, NXQ, NXR, NSL, JTD, JTA, NTX, ROP, NEA, NUW, NAZ, NKX, NZH, NCA, WIC, ERII, NXC, NTC, JCE, JQE, JDD, NAD, JMF, AA, NZF, AMID, JFR, JRO, NKG, JGV, NQM, NMY, AIMT, NMT, NUM, JLS, JMT, NMZ, NUV, NXJ, NVY, NAN, NYV, NNY, ZSAN (3), EAC & FSB
Form 4's (Insider Buys): PGLC, FLKS, IBAL, PHF, AWF, IHRC, IBTX, ASB, FUR, FNBC (3), TIPT, LFUS (6), EGN, FBP (11), CRVP, AHH (2), KFS, MIC, IMH, INTT, BLIN (2), BKSC, NYMX, TBNC (8), CNBKA, REEMF, ESES, PDVW & TLK
Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): ABCO (7), BGCP (3), WSBF, CVBF, NQP, EVLV (5), RAD (16), MATX, SYRG, LIME (2), TURV, TMPS (3), CNF, CNS (7), IRET (15), COLB (10), GOOG, WEYS, TCO, PLPM (2), IBP, TSE (8), DCT, ROP, LEN (7), CTT (5), TTI (6), YELP, BOX (3), RH (7), BGCP & CC
Form 4's (Insider Sales): LM, ACOR, CPS, CTS, GLRE, ATRI, GETR (5), FNF (2), DRE, VICR, MPAA, WSBF, CPRT, PFG, FRAP, ESES, FNBG, NWL, CRS, GAM (11), ROK, ORCL, BKFS (2), EV, NGS, ANAC (11), ALOG, NGS, GOOG, PLUS, SRLP, AMWD (2), CBI, LCI, URG, FBP (11), RRGB, DERM, VRA, SYBT, IPHS, PMTS (2), ITG (2), UCLE, LB, VRTX, TNGO, COF, TPLM, CLR, ADBE, HSON, NXRT, LGIH, ENBL, CAMP, CBU, CSCO, RRTS, PDVW, GPRE, CVCO, PHX, YHOO, TPHS, BCOR, TTEK, JUNO, NCS, SUM, HLT (3), YELP, CTIC, GWRE (2), ACPW, QTWO, USCR, ACM, SKUL, BFA, FB, JAKK, SRNE, WDAY, ZEN & PHF
Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): PPL, YUME, RAD (6), MVTF, WEYS (2), TCO, IBP, IRET, CTT (4) & SNI
I'm only going to conclude with a couple of notes here because I need to get others things accomplished here soon. One is about FBP. You may notice it is heavy on both the buy & sell side but it looks like some sort of options may have been filed here with multiple forms resulting in the buying side to be much heavier than the selling side.
Another that I made was that GOOG was the largest sale with $23,445,728 worth of shares sold by the CEO followed by FB with $12,471,780 worth of shares sold by their COO. I anticipated more selling going into Brexit but maybe we'll see the forms next week.
Finally, I noted that the only CFO's I noticed buying work for FBP & FBNC. The CFO's I saw selling work for GWRE, CAMP, PMTS, FBP, ANAC & WSBF. Following the money is always helpful, in my opinion.
Lastly, the Form 3 area was a lot higher than most of my blogs but bear in mind that these are just forms that indicate a change in the structure of the company board members. They're worth watching but not a tell all.

"Sell in May & Go Away" Is This the Beginning of Our Volatility Season?
Historically the Trader's Almanac has shown that more often than not, May is a selling month & the beginning of our "volatility season" which runs through October. Therefore, the rhyme "sell in May & go away" has been adopted by some trading strategies. With the signals that global markets started to show us last week, beginning with the Bank of Japan negative interest rate kicking off volatility in Asia, we are poised to our indices edge downwards even more. Sure there is a chance for another little pop up before the decline if China reports a positive PMI but what if they don't? Of course, these are all just my opinions but they are somewhat educated. All that I'm saying is that I have a few different trading accounts & my largest holdings in them as of Friday are in TVIX & UVXY. Also, though the chartist Carter called for the gold rally to stop on CNBC on Friday, I'm going to be shopping another gold stock on Monday. I've been swing trading miners for weeks now. Regardless, Friday was a bit heftier for the insider action I track so I'm going to start my tickers now & hopefully it helps out some of you with your weekend homework.

I hope everyone is able to enjoy the rest of their weekend!

What Up Asian Markets?
Asian Markets sometimes have a tendency to put a damper on the U.S. Market advancement that could only have been put in place by a company as relevant as Facebook (FB). This company isn't just displaying "the example", it's projecting "the way" in this ever evolving world we live in that it is forced to revolutionize. Facebook has become "the way" and that being said, Kudos to Mark Zuckerberg for a different tier of what everyone had sought, right when they found it. I wish that the Bank of Japan didn't just send down a giant pigeon turd. It's not stopping a tear necessarily but please...Amazon (AMZN), you need to shine tomorrow to not tip the boat, in my opinion which is whatever. Either way, here are the insider tickers & this will be brief because I was in a research deficit today. Ta da:

Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): HPY (3), STI, GRIF (7), OSBC & PLD
As it is late, I do not have a lot because I had a sick kid to contend with all day & I need to ski before the season is over tomorrow. Therefore, I only list the CFO's buying & selling which leaves the rest strictly up to you. I hope you have a Happy Thursday in one way or another....the CFO's buying on Wednesday merely work for: ARA, PGC & UAL whereas the CFO's selling on Wednesday work for: WABC, VZ, DFS, INTC, CEB, WSM, TFM, HASI, CRM, YHOO, PLD, RKDA & JAZZ. I implore you to form your own decision on which way to chose your investments &/or trades.

Light Volume Day into the FOMC
There was extremely light volume overall
within the markets today. Either people have already made their trades before
coming into this week or are holding to see where the outcome of the Fed
meeting goes. Tomorrow may make or break the potential volatility ride that we
are about to embark on. Depending on the actual decision of instituting a rate
hike for this announcement or not & whether the message is delivered dovish
or hawkish can & will determine where & how markets are move for the
next stent. As of Apple's (AAPL) big letdown in after hours, the
volatility rollercoaster seems to have fired up its engine to begin another
ride. There are more major earnings reports tomorrow & for the next several
weeks. Facebook (FB) could lend the indices a hand if it can beat its
estimates. It's the only one that I think may pull it off but realistically,
how much can it help when Alphabet (GOOG), Apple (AAPL) & Netflix (NFLX)
have already disappointed? Regardless, I am just thinking out loud. The reason
I really write this blog is to share my homework on the insider transactions I
find. Here are the ones from Tuesday, April 26th:

Here are the notes that I have made for
the buys that came through today beginning with Opko Health (OPK) with the
highest monetary insider buy of $159,502,843 worth of shares bought. Dr. Frost
has been buying shares for months now. If he's right, this company may be a
goldmine in a very short time from now. Next I have noted that the CEO for
Catalyst Pharmaceuticals (CPRX) took advantage of today's FDA postponement,
which reduced the shares in half, as a buying opportunity. I have also noted
that Choice Hotels (CHH) has had a high frequency of insider buying recently.
They are coming into their earnings report on May 4th. This may be another to
watch. Another interesting thing I saw was that the buys for SunEdison
Semiconductors (SEMI) outweighed their sales significantly. Finally, The CFO's
buying on Tuesday work for: PSG, SEMI, UVFT, FCFP, PRSS & XLIT.
My notes on the sale side are far lighter
because they didn't stand out as much. I have Fortune Brands Home &
Security (FBHS) as the largest sale with $24,007,488 worth of shares sold. The
CFO's selling on Tuesday work for: FPRX, XLIT, INTC, ATRI, MCD, AHL, PH, ACAS,
CRTO, CARB, FNFG, PERY, OMC, DLTR, EFII, DXCM, ACU & DHR.
Please do your own homework passed
anything that you read on anyone's blog, or StockTwits, Facebook Stock Groups,
or wherever you get your information. Also, please pay attention to how the
sectors are being impacted by the current market conditions because that is a
huge factor, too. Finally, it is important to know when any company you are
trading or investing in is going into something big like an earnings report or
an FDA decision. Hopefully, everyone is able to find green in their portfolio
tomorrow.

Earnings Reports & the Fed Meeting This Week
As Friday was a celebration for our family, I was not trading live nor gathering tickers as they occurred. Instead, I have used the resources that I could today to gain the Forms that I track so my results may be limited. Regardless, this will be a major week for markets worldwide with the heavy hitter earnings reports due out and with the potential rate hike on the horizon. According to some, Passover is a time when money is removed from the markets whether for religious reasoning or out of caution. That is another factor that we may be contending with when the markets open Monday morning. Passover began at Sunset this past Friday during or even after the after market was closed. With that all being stated, here are the tickers I acquired:
13D'S: BLOX, RHNOD, ATLS (2), DWCH, ZTS, CP (2), HNSM, UTEX, HNSN, CPXX & NHF
13G's: KINS, SQ & WGA

There are some big companies reporting this week & I will be watching them all. My personal top five list includes three companies on Tuesday: Apple (AAPL), JetBlue (JBLU) & Twitter (TWTR). All three of these companies have had recent insider transaction & solely based upon those transactions, one may conclude AAPL & TWTR will potentially miss & that JBLU will potentially beat, in my opinion. The two I am following on Wednesday are Comcast (CMCSA) & Facebook (FB). Again, solely based upon the recent insider transactions, both companies may miss their estimates. As we all know, there are many factors involved in the outcome of a company during their earnings report. I honestly don't even recommend holding a stock into earnings but that is just a gamble that I don't like to take. Please do your own due diligence on any investments or trades that you are making in this potentially volatile market week. We need to remember the Fed decision is going to play a major factor on our indices.
I didn't take the time to configure the largest & smallest dollar amount on the forms today. I only looked at the CFO's buying & selling. The CFO's that were buying on Friday work for SUME & MCHX. The CFO's that sold on Friday work for: CIEN, CACI, EBTC, HQY, AAL, ZAYO, WSM, AMPH, MBA, FLTX & REGI. Two notable companies with insiders that were selling Friday were American Airlines (AAL) & Williams Sonoma (WSM). Finally, the last bit from my notes on Friday's tickers that I'm willing to share is that there were many companies selling in the financial sector. This could just be to eliminate risks going into the potential rate hike or could be based on their companies earnings reports or maybe something different. Either way, I hope that this helps out somebody out there & I hope that everyone is able to make some money this week in the market.

Riding the Bull Market
As the major U.S. indices approach all time heights, we are amidst a very crucial earnings season. Today was slightly quiet as for insider transactions but some of the transactions that I did catch are a seemingly big deal going into their first quarter report. For instance, the CEO of Alphabet (GOOG) sold some of his shares today & they report tomorrow after hours. He could be selling because of their major lawsuit with the EU or maybe he knows something more about the report than the rest of us. Either way, be careful with any stocks that are headed into their earnings report regardless of the analysts sentiment. A company like Alphabet (GOOG) could make or break the S&P so be ready to hold on tightly.
With that all being said, here are the tickers that I collected today:
13D's: PLCM, MITL, CBK, HCSB, ABRN, CGNT, DGSE, IMCL, BEB, PAC, GNK, CCSC, SXE (2), FTF, UAL (2), MBRG, CRAI, NROM, NSPR, EMKR
13G's: AVLP, CYPW, DIDG, ECOS, MTVX, KGET, ERFB, FGLD, BONU, VIICQ, NOHO, FLPC, AWON, OB & CBAY
Form 3's: GNUS, BLBD (2), CNO (2), LANC, VPIG, SWK, OSUR, FOSL, BSX, GNW, FRAN, CKH, ENOC, OB, NRP, CRAY, EVH & CDK
Form 4's (Insider Buys): OPK, AUBN (8), JGN, CNBKA, WNDM (2), HLS (2), AA (2), JMF, NUO, SGM, ESES, SNAK, TAYD (7), LMRK, IZEA, MFRI (4), HCFB, AMRH, SDPI, SMDM, EXAD, LTNC, BATS (4), CWGL (2) & CMCT (5)
Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): SAH (5), MOV (5), LANC, VPIG, VIVO, FLIC (2), SLB, EUSP, UMPQ (2), LULU (2), TLCC, KAMN (9), SKLN, MN (3), PDCE, SCTY, OSUR, ASNB, CKH, WWAV (4), OB, VEEV, NCI, NTRS (12), SPP (3), TRK (4), DWCH (8), HSDT (3) & MFRM
Form 4's (Insider Sales): EBF, ICFI, SHAK, EBS, WEYS, DRI, BBG, EACO, SCKT, WNDM, UMPQ (2), GAM (3), MMM, MSM, MKC (2), WFC, SWK (2), CSFL, EYES, HMHC, CPLA, VRTU, PDCE, MET, SABR, ANSS, MEET (2), DOW, AZO, LARK, ARIS, TROX, DAL, NHI, SCL, AMPH, TNET, BBY (7), WIFI, YHOO, EXLS, TGTX, ALKS (3), VEEV (2), ZIOP, IRM, ORCL, NEOS, NEWR, OMAM (5), ACBI (2), CBOE, JPM, MEET (4), IESC, BSFT, JONE (4), ILMN (2), CARA, GOOG, ABMD (2), ACAD, EXTR, ADMS, MMI, HIVE, ENVA, GFN, LOCK, HCA, FB (2), NTRS, CRM, DIS, BLOX, EBS, VVUS, UNF, HDP (4) & FGEN
Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): EUSP, DVA, SCTY, DAL, COBZ (2) & BTCS
Since I have some family in town, I didn't get into the nitty gritty today to see whose buys & sells were the biggest but I did gather the CFO lists for you. The CFO who bought today works for MFRI & the CFO's selling work for MKC, SWK, TGTX, ALKS, MEET, OMAM, JONE, DIS & BBY. The most noteworthy sale, in my opinion (asides GOOG) was the sale from an EVP/Control, Financial Planner & Tax executive for Disney (DIS).
Sorry to be so brief this evening but I've got to run. I hope that this helps somebody out & best of luck with your portfolio.

Gone Skiing
Personally, I left the markets early to have an amazing day of spring skiing at Winter Park Resort & Mary Jane because we've had some great spring powder dumps. I sold many of my positions out of fear that the markets would turn while I was away. I also was able to average down on my UVXY shares with a purchase at $14.75. Now, I am feeling safe in the few stocks that I am holding long & am actually pleased with my UVXY position. Regardless, I'll be busy prepping for my daughter's birthday while sneaking away to ski here & there for the rest of this week so I may not be blogging daily. Enough about me, here are the tickers I did collect after I came home from the mountain.

I'm going to be brief here as it's almost bedtime & just do the Form 4 buy & sell recap this evening. One very noteworthy thing from today was that there were many, many more insider sales than insider buys. I didn't really catch all the Form 13's I wanted to because I was at the mountain but most of them were increases in their stakes (not all, though).
On the buying side, the largest purchase was huge & for an OTC solar company called Sunergy Inc. (SNEY) with a whopping $7,354,194,977 worth of shares purchased. I had to pull it up to see the stock but this sub-penny didn't even have a price in Google Finance nor Yahoo Finance & actually went down today. I don't know. That's a lot of money for an OTC solar company, in my opinion. Anyhow, the CFO's that were buying shares of their companies work for: AVX, RSG, NHMD, SGB & ASB.
On the sale side of the Form 4's today, I noticed a lot of oil companies & banks but nothing huge with either. The largest insider sales was for Sportsman's Warehouse Holdings (SPWH) with $64,620,000 worth of shares sold followed by Honeywell (HON) with $30,202,800 worth of shares sold then Facebook (FB) with $20,380,800 worth of shares sold. Delta Airlines (DAL) also had another noteworthy sale of over $12 million worth of shares sold. The CFO's that I saw selling today work for: UMPQ, GRPN, IRG, ZEN, AAPL, AVGO, KMX, AMT, GLW, CYNO, PLAY, VAR, ABCO, CMI, NFX, WSM, CVLT, CUDA, VDSI, EXPR, SFE, CLNT, MNTA & FITB.
Please do your own due diligence before trading or investing in any company. Also, pay close attention to the Q1 earnings season that has really just began. Many insiders do buy or sell a few weeks out based on their earnings reports. As always, I hope this helps somebody out there. Have a great night tonight & best of luck with your positions tomorrow.

Stick to the Plan
So...I didn't stick to my plan that I formulated about a month
ago. My plan was to "load the boat" with UVXY or TVIX when I saw the
ETF SPY surpass $209/share. I jumped the gun because of the second earthquake
in Japan & the potential negativity from the Doha meeting over the weekend
& bought UVXY in after hours last Friday despite the plan. That was not the
best idea that I've ever had. I was also happy to leave it "as is"
today & take my daughter skiing because my beloved Amedica (AMDA) was doing
so great. Not the best idea either & I didn't really like how AMDA ended
the day. Either way, a valuable lesson that I learn over & over again is
that I need to stick to my plan. Being trigger happy isn't helping my overall
gain, most of the time. Regardless, this is just a friendly reminder to anyone
who might be reading this....do your homework, formulate a plan & stick to
the plan. That is all I have to say about that, it's ticker time.

Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): RJF,
CDOR (3), HEI, BONT & SUI
I normally just share my notations on the
Form 4 category but since I have been following SunEdison (SUNE) for a few
months now, I found it interesting that David Einhorn reduced his position in
the company even more during after hours today via 13D. This company is
extremely beat down & it's only hope is a buyout, in my opinion.
When looking through the Form 4 "buy
list", I always look at the companies that have the most insiders buying
& try to figure out why since the insiders do have the inside information.
The most insider Form 4's buying today were for Leggett & Platt, Inc.
(LEG). This is a company that I have seen cross the wires a lot asides the
seventeen insider forms from today. As I review the chart, I see nothing
special. The only thing I can really find for the excessive buys (which
occurred on the 15th but didn't cross until today) was that there was a
dividend paid out on the 15th. This will not be a company that I begin to
follow on excessive insider buying. Others with a high level of insiders buying
include a couple of hotel stocks which are HST & CHH. By reviewing their
charts, I don't see a breakout in the near future but who knows. They may have
something up their sleeves. When I pulled up York Water Co (YORW), I saw that
they're amidst a serious rally. I have yet to read their news or do any further
due diligence there but it was noteworthy. I also thought that Newell Brands
Inc. (NWL) had a noteworthy chart which indicated to me a potential leg
upwards. Again, I've not read their news nor done my due diligence there but
for now, they've caught my attention & I will be researching them further.
Typically, I list the high flyers with the
most lucrative buyers but nothing was too out of the box. Actually, I only saw
one company with a buy surpassing a million. This company was Summit Midstream
Partners (SMLP) with a buy of $1,094,647 worth of shares purchased. I also like
to "follow the money" & see what the CFO's are buying. The Form
4's filed by & for CFO's that crossed the wires today were for the
following companies: MNR, KFS, YORW, ATNM & LEG.
On the sale side of the Form 4 world,
Kellogg's (K) was the largest sale du jour with $11,552,220 worth of shares
sold. That is a noteworthy number for me even though only one insider sold
today because K has been rallying upwards for awhile now & may be worth
watching for the short. The second largest sale I saw today was for Hawaiian
Air (HA) with $4,205,334 worth of shares sold. HA stands out because Spirit
Airlines (SAVE) hit the list today, as did American Airlines (AAL) & Delta
Air (DAL) made Friday's list. DAL has already hit its downtrend. AAL, SAVE
& HA may be ready to begin theirs. Virgin Air (VA) hoisted them all up for
a bit with their Alaskan Air (ALK) purchase. The only airline that is still on
my list is JetBlue (JBLU) which looks ready to fly, in my opinion. All the
airlines may be dragged down together, though. Again, please do your own due
diligence before buying or selling any stock. I'm just a bit chattier today
than most days because I actually do have some free time right now.
The CFO's that I caught selling shares of
their companies work for: IPHI, IPCC, WBA, ZBH, HHS, BFST, OMAM, PERY, SAVE,
SSH, TJX, AAL & CYNO. It doesn't hurt to follow the money. Especially, when
these forms are filed just before or right after the company reports
earnings.
Anyhow, I'm going stop an hour early
(actually, these forms come through until about 11 p.m. EST) because I need to
spend some valuable time with my family. There's a chance that I'll update
later with the rest of the forms but no promises. The crazy part is, it's
always the biggest & juiciest forms that cross later in the evening. Either
way, I hope that what I'm putting up here helps somebody out there & I wish
you all a great rest of your evening. Hopefully, you are able to find some
green in your portfolios tomorrow & more importantly, I hope you do your
homework & stick to your plans.

Smoke Signals - Insider Transactions from Friday, April 15, 2016
As I've been taking a break from Facebook & other social media over the course of the past week, I still felt that a blog for Friday's insider transactions that I tracked would be in order as it is actually a very small list. We are headed back into our major Q1 earnings reports beginning this week & wish I had tracked & blogged more over the past month to help everyone follow the insiders but I really wasn't able to. The only one that stuck out that reports next week (to me) was SYK but they've had insider sales since I began the blog & before so not much has really changed there. Hopefully, some of these transactions will help you with your decisions to buy, sell or hold during the upcoming reports. That being said, I will just start with the light list of tickers from Friday now.
13D's: DLBDF, EJ, PTX, SCON, CHRS, VKTX, SNTA, CKEC & APHB
13G's: HCFB, EGRX, SYBT & LPLA
Form 3's: MITK, LEGX (2), BKJ, JAGX, PLAY, MPG, JIVE, ZIXI, ATU, KMPH, CTXR, TALN, BPMC, HMST, KIN & VIRT
Form 4's (Insider Buys): ROX, YORW (5), FBP (11), CH (5), LAQ (5), ISL (4), IF (4), DCA, DNP, FMER, SVBI (4), HIIQ, MMAC, ERC, DSU, AMAR, EEI, SCG (2), STAG (6), LII (9), NTRI, X, CUBE, OZRK (2), PTIE, VKTX, SNAK, LIFE, NYMX, SCHL, FCD (2), LMRK, INQD (2), WNRL, ABE, FTF & BLSP
Form 4's (Insider Acquirements for $0): BONT, PLAY (7), JAH (6), MNTA (6), RLH (6), UCTT, OC (2), , VEEV, BPI, WYNN (8), DDR, LEN (8), PTIE (3), KRC (7), HMST, LOV, KTOS (8, TDW (2) & INQD (2)
Form 4's (Insider Sales): PYDS, AMWD, GBP (11), UNF, CMN, ISCA, CUNB (2), PRGS, RE, FANG, ACXM, GBX, MBRG (3), SYK, CYNO, FPRX, PLAY, LBY, A, VRTX, PFG, MEET, GLPI, CVLT (5), TLRD (9), PRTA, TYPE, IR (2), ABMD, ANTM, SONC, VEEV, ATLC (2), AXTA, RGNX, KMX, BPI, HYGS, GRUB (2), DAL, ATU, FDS (2), EXPR, JAZZ (2), TBK, CBG, BFB, HMTV, IPCC, CMC, DISCA, FLTX, LARK, NEOS, LOCK, WDAY, ICUI, IPCC (2), SNCR, NXTM, STXS, SLGD, MIDD (2), PFSW, MMI, YELP, MKTO, KW (6), HDP, NPTN, NOW (2), PMST, QVCA, SCHL, MNGA, SWKS, KTOS (7), OMER, MAC, PIP, GDDY, SUM, ILMN, HCA, TDW (2), UNXL, JAH (2), VRNT, EBF, EA, IPAR, SUM, LVNTA & COMM
Form 4's (Insider Disposals for $0): JAH (11), COO, CMC, HHC, BPMC, YELP & MRDN
As for all of the tickers above, I like to look for ones that cross several lists or that have had forms filed on multiple days. Since, I haven't been posting my blogs, that may be difficult but if you are looking at the company as or a trade or investment, I would highly recommend looking at their recent filings on an individual basis. Also, be sure to look into the individual company's earning report date as earnings season is again upon us.
I didn't note much on the insider buys side asides that SVBI was Friday's largest insider buy with $775,500 worth of share purchased amongst four registered insiders. The only CFO I saw buying works for FBP which I'd also like to note that their insider buys heavily outweighed their insider sales.
On the sale end, nothing was too crazy on Friday but on Tuesday, April 12th, LM had a huge sale of $673,673,792 worth of shares sold which was far & away the largest insider sale last week. The CFO's selling on Friday, April 15th work for: MAC, GRUB, IPAR, JAZZ, CBG, PSMT, TLRD, KW, CVLT, MBRG & JAH.
As always, I hope this helps somebody out there. Personally, I was hoping to see more oil companies involved with the upcoming Doha meeting on Sunday but oh well.
For anyone who cares, my current positions that I've held through this weekend are in LOCO, SID, TAHO, TAYD, TNK & UVXY. Please do keep in mind that I rarely hold long & that swing trading is what I do best though some of these are "longs" for me meaning I may hold them closer to the FOMC on April 27th. Have a great weekend!

Lots & Lots & Lots of Forms
Monday was stupid for me. None of my plays worked as planned but whatever. There's always tomorrow & there's always averaging down. I was hoping to jump back into swing trading with two feet but it's been awhile since I've been live everyday & planning. Anyhow, I hope that you were able to find some greens in your portfolio. I have a ton of tickers tonight so I'm starting now.
13D's: HOLX, SDPI, FSYS (2), INAP, PHM, SENH, ULUR (2), HMIN, TLP, CHMP, KCAP, GOVX, POWR, JMG, CWBC, AERG, MPLX, SNAK, DRYS, MPET, EDGW & SENS

So the world markets are open again & ready for yet another week. I will be blogging more since I'll be teaching skiing less again, too. I hope to keep the most extensive list of insiders available on a more regular basis. It truly helps my trading. So some of the things that I personally like to look for are tickers that cross multiple lists; especially, the buy lists for long potentials. The next thing I like to look for are ones that repeat day to day. Then, I look at the ticker's earnings report date because that is also a tell all with insider transactions. After I figure that out, I start pulling charts. Whatever your strategy is, I recommend refining it so that you are a master at what you practice. That all being said, I hope this report is helpful for someone out there.
Okay, Friday's largest insider purchase went to ACAD totalling $39,239,808 worth or shares by one of the Baker Bros trusts. Julian Baker also filed a buying 13D on the company. ACAD was a hot stock last week & may have more coming soon. The insider CFO's that were buying on Friday work for: CAPP, NA, FBP, WTR, ORC, PAYD, ADXS, AZO, TYL, AIT, MSEX, DYSL & GROW.
On the sale side, the largest went to STOR for $835,737,130 worth of shares sold. You also may notice that STOR had a 13G filed on Friday, too. Two other notable sales went to AAPL with an insider selling $29,553,526 worth of shares & GOOG with Brin Sergey selling another $25,180,592 worth of shares. The CFO's selling on Friday work for: DMRC, DXCM, ZNGA, SWKS, BXMT, CVCO, ALK, EQGP, QTWO, ADXS, KFFB, GRUB, PETS, CTSH, AHT, UTEK, MLP, ASCMA, KSS, FBP, SPLK, DDR, PFSW, ORRF, TRUE, SASR, WCN, RYAM, CLNT, LH, SPH, ADM, TCPI & CTXS.
Currently, our futures are down for US markets but a lot can change overnight. I hope everyone is able to find some green tomorrow.

Long Weekend Homework - Happy Easter
Long weekends make us all a bit stir crazy when it comes to our
investments or trades. There are so many factors that can impact the world
markets which makes for uneasiness with many of our positions. Either way, I
hope that the long weekend fares well for the sake of our uncertainty. After
all, there is nothing we can do about it until the market reopens on Monday.
That being said, I hope that everyone has a peaceful & Happy Easter
weekend.

Just because the markets were closed on
Good Friday, March 25, 2016, does not mean that forms filed from days prior do
not still push through. They still do & in my opinion, these are the most
stealth forms because the come on a day where nobody is looking. Here are the
few that I caught:
13D's (from 3/25/16): TCFC, ULGX, INAP,
TRVY (2), INAP, IESC, ULGX, KOOL, AVTD, GPCM, RICE, TMPS, SPPR, EPI (2), INNV,
AM, PTGI, FMD & PFSW
13G's (from 3/25/16): PSG
Form 4's (Insider Buys from 3/25/16): OVAS

Form 4's (Insider Sales from 3/25/16):
ZAYO, DXCM, SHAK, FNF, QCOM, PFPT, VEEV, HD (3), LB, AGNC, ABMD (2) & PE.
From what I gathered, the largest insider
buys via Form 4's were for Global Medical REIT (GMRE) purchasing $35,864,074
worth of shares on Thursday & about the same on Friday. The second largest
buy via From 4 on Thursday was for Mattress Firm (MFRM) totaling $26,208,267
worth of shares. The CFO's who were purchasing shares of the company they work
for only go to EXCC & CSGS for both days. I'm going to pay extra close
attention to the forms that pushed through on Friday; especially the ones that
repeat from Thursday.
On the sale side, the largest sale on a
Form 4 goes to Larry Page (co-founder of Google) of his Alphabet (GOOG) shares
selling $50,042,104 worth of his stock. The second highest with multiple
sellers via Form 4's was for Pepco Holdings (POM) totaling $45,771,248 worth of
their shares. I also wanted to add an honorable mention for Vera Bradley (VRA)
with insiders selling $21,209,694 worth of their shares. The CFO's who were
selling shares over the course of the two days’ work for: DCO, LOCK, IART, HD,
SPPI, TECD, FIX, QCOM, CMN, YUME, BFAM & POM.
I hope that this helps & enjoy the
rest of your weekend!

I'm just going to be quick with my notes again but please remember to do your due diligence on stocks you are investing in. Pay attention to when the companies are going into their earnings report. For example, Buckle, Inc (BKE) reports earnings on Monday. The insider transactions can usually help us to get a better idea of what to expect with our investments.
Starting with the insider buys, I had noted that Tesaro, Inc (TSRO) had the largest dollar amount of insider buying on Friday with the insiders purchasing $329,999,927 worth of their company shares. The chart looks like it's already headed upwards but has more room to grow. I also noted that the companies that had their CFO's buying shares work for: CAPR, ICFI, AJG, FBP & BWA.
As for the insider sales, I have Continental Building Products, Inc.(CBPX) with the largest sale of $96,709,528 worth of their shares. Fox Factory Holding Corp (FOXF) had the second largest sale with $51,034,011 worth of shares sold. I pulled the charts & CBPX just saw the three white soldiers. This may be one to watch for short interest on Monday. I also noted that the CFO's who were selling work for: GPS, AVGO, NVDA, ICFI, GWRE, WDAY, LOPE, AMBA, VG, TPLM, JNS, XRM, NEWR, IPGP, LARK, PCLN, RKUS, FBP, ROST, PRMW, PLAY, ORIT, EPE & PTSX.
Hopefully, this write up helps someone out there. Also, best of luck to all this upcoming week with your trades & investments.

Consider Yourself Lucky
March is a big month for me with the job that I am most passionate about which is teaching skiing. With all the time I've been devoting to it, I have not had time to track the insiders nearly as close as I'd like to. I will be back on it in April but for the meantime, consider yourself lucky for me to share the largest list of insider transactions from Friday, March 11, 2016.

I'm just going to put out my biggest notes though they may come off as generic. I have that the largest insider purchase reported via Form 4 on Friday was for IEEC where their CEO purchased a whopping $90,000,000,000 worth of company shares. The second largest from Friday was via Felix Baker who scooped up $22,474,729 worth of SGEN shares. CNA was the third largest buy with $3,174,374 worth of shares bought by insiders.
As always, I like to follow the money so I tracked the CFO's who were buying. My list of CFO's buying on Friday work for the following companies: CDI, HDS, NURO, AISG, LIVE, PRIM, HSII, AEL, ESRX, JCAP & SSP.
Next, the largest insider sale from Friday was for $47,774,700 worth of ALGT shares. The second largest sale I saw was for DPZ with an insider dropping $26,725,399 worth of shares. Finally, FIT came in third with a sale of $14,969,063 worth of shares sold. The CFO's that sold on Friday work for: EXAC, SPLK, SPWR, STC, LOPE, DK, AVGO, ZAYO, CBM, EXPO, GXP, URI, OMAM, AVP, KS, PKD, T, MSI, NNI, HSII, LAD, NAII, ECHO, TEX, ECPG, BBY, CLCT, TRK, LSBK, RUTH, SSP, WRI, MHK, MSEX, KAI, ECR, IP, PCCC, UNT, FFBC, CDI, EZPM, NMBL, ZAYO & AFG.
Personally, swing trading has been difficult for me recently since I am working every trading day. I accidentally got stuck in DUST & am very hopeful we get some news of a hike on Wednesday so I'll have an opportunity to get out of it. Other than that, I have decided to go long on a few that I think will hold up for the rest of the month like ICPT, FHCO & TNK. I'm considering taking a position in UVXY on Monday & going long (I know that's not a typical long but whatever). I'm also looking at several biotech's & having a hard time deciding. I should probably check out SGEN's chart since it was the second biggest buy (I'll be looking at IEEC in moments, too....sorry...discovered it's a subpenny...maybe interesting to see what happens, though). Also, OPK has been a wonderful hold since the mass amounts of buys that Frost made in 2016 thus far (including Friday).
That's really all that I have for now. I hope everyone is able to find the right trades & make some profit going on with the rest of March. If I get a chance, I'll blog again.

13G's Not Included - Insiders From Last Friday
So last week was fun but this week should be more exciting for everyone looking for nice bounce up in our markets. Thankfully, I sold off 95% of my TVIX on Friday. I'll likely shop for another entry into it if it gets low enough but I'm hoping the rally continues all week. I was lucky enough to get into DUST for a great price & wish I held more UWTI for tomorrow but whatever. I'll try for it in the morning but if I don't catch my bid before I head off to teach, it's okay. I also have a biotech that I feel may be a blockbuster & can't wait to see where it goes. Finally, I am looking forward for DIS to bounce back. Let's hope we go green tomorrow & for the rest of the week.
As for my data collecting on Friday, I have everything but the 13G list. It is still far too extensive for me to include. If you are invested in a stock that had a recent 13G filed, I'm sure that you are aware of it. I'll get back to 13G's when the list entails less than 500. That being said, here are the one's I gathered from Friday, February 12:
13D's: CAB, SMID, PTSX, FSNN, YUME, MNOV, GM, TPUB, STON, ATTU, DL, MB, PIP, CANV, DERM, TTNP, WIZD, FIBK, ARWR, SGHS, IHI, MERC, SMLP, UCLE, SCON, ALSN, WHF (2), JONE, BBLU, PICO, ZMH, HMPR, NC (2), CPRT & INFU

I don't have a ton of notes but I did write down that OPK had the highest buy at nearly $160 million worth of shares on the 12th, they had two more very similar buys on the 8th & 9th. This makes the list a lot & I can't wait to see what happens with it. Also, PSX had another significant purchase from Berkshire Hathaway for almost $80 million worth of shares. PSX was the second highest buy from Friday and has seen the list a lot. I also have the CFO's that are buying shares into their companies work for: BID, RRTS, CRDC, FMNB, OFC, CUB, ROG, OVBC, AAP, NWL, UTGN, BOFI & CAVM.
On the sale side I noted that GS was our largest sale from an insider selling over $355 million worth of shares. JONE was a distant yet significant second with $50 worth of shares. Finally, the CFO's I saw selling work for: EPM, CC, CIEN, MKSI, SLM, CC, AWR, LTC, SSNI, WERN, CSCO, BLD, RRTS, ULTI, HOS, REIS, PEB, WCN, DOV, TRMB, INDB, BPL, SMRT, BCR, QNST, NBBC, BKH, AHL, DRE & CMI.
I am actually going to be teaching skiing every trading day but Thursday this week so may not blog. I'll do it when I can, though. I hope everyone is able to find lots of green in their accounts tomorrow.

Skipping the 13G's
Truly there were hundreds of 13G's filed today & I didn't know that I could keep up with them while maintaining my sanity so I'm skipping them until the reallocations from the hedge & mutual funds are pretty well set. That should enable me to track & post more often. Anyhow, what a day.....Yellen throws a curve ball to me that she will likely reverse tomorrow. I was set up in volatility (TVIX) & thought gold would take more of a step back so I also had DUST going into today. TVIX worked for me & hopefully DUST will pull through tomorrow. I also stayed in Disney (DIS) & still really don't get why great earnings can be hit so hard by ESPN. Whatever...it's a great company & maybe I'll average down at some point here. The world markets have all become very difficult to predict & volatile. That's why I'll stick to swing trading for the most part.
Here are the lists that I compiled today (minus my normal 13G list):

The insider buys have well out numbered the sales in recent days. Let's start there with today's largest buy via Form 4 for $90,387,726 worth of TPX shares. AutoNation (AN) followed in second today with $34,822,167 worth of share purchased by Mr. Bill Gates. In third with just under $23 million worth of shares bought was for CBG. I'd like to give TSLA an honorable mention though way down the list with just under $4.5 million worth of shares bought by Elon Musk.
As per my "follow the money" look, the CFO's that were buying shares of their company on Wednesday work for: BOFI, RRC, NWL, PRLB, WRI, SPA, TMHC, AWH, CUB, MNK, UE & CPAH. Whereas the CFO's selling their shares work for: CTCT, CB, IP, PCCC, TEL, EGN, WDFC, CLMS, WY, SPR, IQNT, GUID, PBI, RNR, BWLD, OTTR, DFT, BGC, TSCO, WWW, EPZM, IT, TWO, JNJ, FAST, INGN, EQIX, PCCC, W, CDNS, MSCI & FBRC.
The largest sale today went to Facebook (FB) with sales totalling just under $115 million worth of shares sold. This was followed by Alphabet (GOOG) in a distant second with nearly $23 million worth of shares sold by it's co-founder Brin Sergey. The 2 trading days prior, Lawrence Page had major sales of his stake in GOOG, too.
That's really all I have noted for now. The markets are crazy thus far in 2016 so pay attention to any companies that you are invested in because things can change quickly. I hope that this helps out somebody out there. Also, I hope everyone is able to find green in their portfolios tomorrow.
